I have a 1993 SE Fastback with HICAS.... im wanna put these springs on my car, im looking for the best performance for hard driving... i also wanna get high performance shocks, dose anyone know of any companys that makes them for hicas cars? what is a good brand at a reasonable price? im not very knowladable about the suspension of the car, i know i need a camber correction kit w/ these springs, every where i look for them i only see front end, is that all i need for the camber correction? Any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks.

You can get the ear and the front I blive from www.enjukuracing.com and you can get kyb agx shocks which are adjustable or ride comfort and get the eibach springs or get a good set of coil overs and be better off its your choice.

STOP! before you look any further into getting shocks for your hicas equipped ride.
you can NOT get aftermarket shocks for a car with HICAS. the system uses the shocks to steer the rear wheels and therefore have special shocks with mounts for the steering shafts. aftermarket shocks dont have these mounts so you cant use them. you have to take the HICAS system off and use regular suspension components from a non HICAS 240sx.
i have a HICAS 240sx with eibach sportlines and stock shocks. it rides fine. its a plush caddy comparted to my ae86 that has B+G springs with tokico HP shocks. and thats a modest combo. the most i have to complain about with the eibachs is body roll. mostly due to thier soft rate. very comfy but i think they were going for that when they designed them. camber isnt too bad unless you have some really expensive tires you dont want to replace every 6 months. i have 205/45/17 toyo proxes and they arent worn down from camber at all after 5 months. the eibach is a good spring for getting a feel for what you want to do with the car. good "starter" spring i guess. i have already started working on eliminating HICAS. i just got a rear subframe from a non HICAS car yesterday. i already have KYB AGX shocks for the front (not installed though) and im waiting to order the ground control springs and rear KYB shocks. im also going to take the rear links and get them powder-coated and get upgraded bushings pressed in so when i put them all on the car they will be premium parts. the way i see it, if you got it off the car, do as much as you can to it before it goes back on.
goodluck with your anti-HICAS adventure. its a long one.

whoa! hold on a minute there :) ... hehe, who said you can't run aftermarket shocks on a Super HICAS car? contrary to what many of the companies (Tokico, KYB, Koni, etc...) say about "Exc. Hicas Adjustable Suspension" (KYB lists it like that) , don't believe them... HICAS has nothing to do w/ suspension, it's active steering http://socal240sx.org/faq/hicas.html . i e-mailed Chuck Gonwa (?) @ KYB last year about this and yet they still haven't change their listings...
i use AGX's in the rear right now on my car (91 Super HICAS SE) and they work just fine... if you don't believe me check out Don Nimi's site about his HICAS car and his aftermarket suspension http://www.pdm-racing.com/features/240sx.html a good majority of S13's and 180sx in Japan also came w/ HICAS II or Super HICAS and they have tons of aftermarket coilovers and struts/shocks for them (although many disable the HICAS for drifting)... no modifications or special mounts of any kind on the stock shocks. the HICAS steering arms are not connected in any way to the shocks. supposedly the OEM struts/shocks on HICAS cars are valved just a tad "stiffer" that's about the only difference...

AFAIK the Prokits are actually better for performance. The sportlines are lower but from what I understand have a lower spring rate or something to that effect. I know it's been talked about a few times and it seems the general consensus is that prokits=handling and sportlines=appearance. I haven't ever tried sportlines so I can't tell you for sure. Search around and you'll find good threads about it. BTW, I have prokits with KYB AGX's and they kick ass.
