just did my 5 speed swap, took it to a shop to have it "professionaly" done.

drove it home it was ok, clutch engagement is really hight 1/2" from full release..

now when i put it in gear clutch in and try to push the shifter into gear it doesnt let me, it makes a buzzing sound, and i feel vibration on my clutch pedal, it like that with 1-5th gear.

when i do get it in gear after playing wit the shifter and clutching in multiple times , when i let off it makes a screching clunking sound. and then goes, once in gear its fine...

when i give it over 2000rpms or try to shift hard, it doesnt let me get into gear, and it makes the screching noise.. at times a ringing...

so is it a throwout bearing/pivot fork problem? or a gearbox problem?

thanks
btw ka24de tranny, 6puck sprung hub clutch, stock flywheel

well you have a pretty hardcore clutch. if it makes a whinny noise when your foot is off the clutch chances are ints the throwout bearing. if not then maybe your input shaft bearing might need a glance. also did you break it in right or did you do the swap and romp on it?

well i took the car back their..
i wasnt abusing the clutch at all, took it up to 2k once to see if it would grab.

any idea why the engagement point is so high up?

they probably forgot to put gear oil in it

It's because of few things. The design of the clutch, the throw-out bearing position, and the clutch pedal adjustment. The one thing you can do is fix your pedal travel.

You should have about 1/2" of freeplay in your clutch pedal before clutch disengagment. And on a 6-puck you're gonna get ALOT of grabbiness and jerking in daily driving.

Maybe they put the disc in backwards? Or you have air in your clutch line and it's not operating your slave cylinder enough.

does it whine when the clutch is NOT pushed to the floor. And does it get quiet when the clutch is pushed in?

Drain tranny fluid and refill with OEM MTF

My car makes a screching noise (coming from the tranny)-too when I push the clutch pedal in first and in reverse. And my car can bearly go up a hill, like theres no power. I have a oem exedy clutch, resurfaced flywheel, oh and KA24de.
I got no clue whats the problem

well took it back, turns out hte pin holding the pivot fork broke and they used a 5speed abs drive shafe on a 5 speed non abs car..

hopefully should work good now
