I put my hand on a 1997 ka engine and I am planning on eventually pulling my 1995 engine out. I was wondering if I can use my 1995 harness. What modification would I have to do if some are needed. Is it a bolt on swap ? Connectors all the same? I currently have a S13 Ecu connected to my 1995 engine harness (Odb2>Odb1).
Thanks,

Same as any other OBD-I chassis. Use existing harness, TPS, O2, remove the rest. Or just use the entire 95 intake manifold. Same stuff we've said for years.

I theory (not sure about your obd conversion harness), that engine should drop right into a '95. My '97 engine plugged into the existing harness on my '96...there is no change in the harness tween 95 and 96. There was a change to the harness and ecu pinouts on Kouki's but since you are using the stock harness and ecu that should not matter.

yeah but only the 95's were obd1

Incorrect. The 95 TPS is the older S13 style, flat plug with a clip, the 96-98s use a two plug setup. The 95 O2 front sensor is a 1wire on manual cars, all 96-98s are 3 wire. 97-98s use a 4wire rear O2 sensor versus a 3wire on 95-96s. The 95 CTS is also different, red plug with a clip, 96-98s use the blue plug sensor.

So use the '95s tps/throttle body...forgot about that. I assumed he would use the '95s o2 sensors. Swap coolant temperature sensors.

fuck the 97 manifold with all the extra emissions shit on it
if you use the 97 manifold, delete all the extra stuff. or just use the 95 manifold
