It has been about 6-8 months since I have installed the Hotshot Headers into my 96 se. When I first drove the car after they where installed the steering knuckle hit on the side of the one pipe. I figured with enough rubbing it would dent it enough to stop the rubbing. Well I guess I was wrong cause it is still rubbing.

It olny rubs when I make hard right hand turns and a fast speed, not at all with left hand turns. My logic is that the body of the car is moving to right in a right handed turn and the engine is mostly staying put or in a straight line. So in a right handed turn the steering knuckle will be pushed closer to the engine causing a rub and a hard time tuning the steering wheel.

Now, when I did the complete exhaust system, I did not but the little hanger bracket back on that is located close to the transmission. Is that what is causing the problem? I personally doubt it. What can I do to make this stop rubbing, as it is driving me to seriously think about putting the stock exhaust maniford back on.

So far what I think is maybe replacing the engine mounts to some poly or nismo mounts, which I have no ideal how hard that will be. Or something that will limit the body roll, like a strut bar. Tell me what you all think.

Sorry it is so long. :)

all i can say is that with a virtually identical setup i do not experience this rubbing of which you speak

i also omitted the tranny hanger as it made the exhaust hang at funky angles to the header, and the header flange was welded

my vote is to yell at HS:confused:
