Greddy makes a controller for it's Type-S coilovers. Same price as the Tein
Plus, they're Monotube. yay!

In car adjustability is over rated and pointless.
Stop, get out, turn 4 knobs. Not hard.
But, to the original question, all those systems are largely the same, the are electronically "spinning" the knob.

save the money on the edfc, and buy better coilovers. once you get them adjusted thats where they'll stay. if you do go to the track worst case you'll have to open the trunk, and crank the wheel to full lock or pop your hood:bow: . not that big of a deal to adjust the dampers.

agreed. i wanted the edfc until i actually got my coilovers. then i realized it takes like 30 seconds to do it manually.

Pointless.

I drove an s14 w/flex and edfc. They all do the same thing.
You should really be concerned with which coilovers to get that have this feature available, depending on what the car will be used for. Foe example, Tein flex, monoflex and super drift are all edfc compatible but are designed for different purposes.

I put them on my subaru.
I mean it worked.
Biggest difference is the edfc just switches damping on the coil.
The teas switches on the fly for what it believes is optimal damping.
If I were stuck between the two, I'd go with the tanabe's because I like their coils better.

only good (or desirable) thing about the teas really is the progressive adjustment of the dampening.

I want to know what kinds of drugs Tanabe engineers were on when they decided that the "ACTIVE DAMPING" thing was a good idea.
Having convenience is one thing, but the LAST thing I'd want is the dampers constantly changing force based on how fast the car is going. It makes NO sense and I imagine it would make the car extremely unpredictable at the limits.
Marketing pwns us all, I guess.

Best controller imo is this one, but it costs way too much money and has nothing to do with dampening because like everyone else said. Just get out of the car and do it yourself.

I've thought about those Roberuta Cup Kits.. It's just a air cylinder that fills up. The problem is that you must have 2" of shock travel at your disposal. If you've got a double adjustable coilover then you probably don't.

I hear what your saying but don't some luxury cars have this option as well? Provided I doubt the average owner would drive their q45 to the limit.
