Just bought another S14, no problems really except for the speedometer reading, the needle will be maxed when i'm only going around 65-70, the odometer read 130+ or so when i've only traveled 86ish miles, I'm thinking maybe it's the VSS/speed sensor, maybe it's from an S13 which is why it's reading off? correct me if I'm wrong, or if any of you have had a similar problem could you pinpoint me in the right direction, thanks

P.S. 95' auto s14 if that matters.

You can look quick, if it's an aluminum case VSS than it's an S13. Ideally though it's probably the cluster itself, they're more likely to have problems than the sensor.

Yup had the same problem as well, I was broke college kid at the time so I had someone drive next to me. Found out it was reading exactly double so for a good year or so I drove with it like that. :2f2f:

you are right, your speed sensor is from an S13, that's why your speedometer is reading double the speed..

You should make a video of it and show people how you can get to 130mph really fast... +1 on the sensor.
