i had some kid in a bar come up to me and talk to me about this. The whole night i was thinking bs but it seems like it could actually help.
i still think its gimmick though

this was in mythbusters. you cant produce enough hydrogen to power your whole car with a setup like that. at least thats what their results where.

that was kinda the idea for the original hydrogen powered cars they were going to actually use the hydrogen it self to to power the motors but now their just using the hydrogen to power electric motors or whatever. but in theory it should work the only thing is how is he getting the hydrogen in to the cumbustion chamber because i dont think that would make ample amount of pressure to force enough hydrogen in the cylinder when the injectors open. unless he had the injectors running at a crazy high duty cycle. but to get to the point im gonna go with a scam only cause i dont think its as simple as he is making it out to be.

that car doesnt run completely on hydro
it still has gasoline
the hydrogen displaces some of the fuel
it really works and yes you get better gas mileage
the hydrogen is fed through a vacuum line or into the intake tube
it is easy to make one too
all you need is a container to put water in,
two electrical terminals to charge the water,
and a port to feed the intake
add baking soda to the water and hook the terminals up to power
wow instant hydrogen, it can help significantly with fuel economy depending on how many cells you use
but you may need a larger battery/ alternator to get good results
there is alot of info out there on this stuff too just google it

ten bucks says the guy who made that video, has a methlab in his back yard, and even has a video about it...

Unless you have a way to tune around it and a way to monitor the volume for consistant mixtures, it wont work. Go spray any combustable into your running engine while driving and tell me if your milage improves.
In theory it can work. In practice it usually doesn't.

But isn't the amount of energy required to seperate hydrogen from water than is released combining it with oxygen again?

haha for sure.
But I just dont see this working effectively enough to take the time and money to do it. who knows though. if someone trys it lemme know how it goes.

Actually it is my personal daily driver. lol
Sorry to disappoint the junkies but no meth videos. You guys can rot your brains all ya want...
I DO have a news video of some local police using the same type of technology to save 6-8mpg in all of the cities police vehicles. Even the mayor of this town uses hydrogen.

Oh and see the other thread mentioned above about my hybrid SR for more details. I have tried it... this is real... I drive this s13 every day.
There is no tuning done... Just hydrogen. The current draw is roughly 5-7 amps... much less power draw than my subwoofer amp.
Glad you guys have interest in my little experiments.

You know what im wondering. How well this works in winter? Won't the water freeze? Just curious. If I'm to try it I was going to try it on my daily/winter car first.... then the track/summer car.. but... also another question how it works on a track car under extreme heat/unexpected conditions when I abuse the car.

what are the performance gains/losses from doing this? does it help or hinder? just wondering, I am interested in doing something like this, but wondering how it can affect performance.

As for winter, a little bit of anti-freeze should go a long way. But things get a bit complicated with the baking soda being present; I don't know how they react with each other. If there are no chemical compounds that readily react between the anti-freeze and the baking soda, then you're good to go.
As for harsher conditions, I guess that depends on how harsh. If it's hot enough, it might have 2 effects: it might speed up the separation between the hydrogen-oxygen bonds, or it might just boil over, building pressure in the apparatus.
I'm no chemist but it seems like in adverse situations, the mechanism may have a low tolerance for environmental changes.

use heat from the engine. But that doesn't help over night freezing. Perhaps your going to have to drain the system for certain nights. Perhaps a little bit of sodium if it does not have any adverse effect with the system.
