Seen this many times on various forums but can any on confirm this ?


CHP Mobile Smog Stations


Chino Hills (Chino Hills Parkway and Peyton). Dyno type setup just like the smog stations.

they happen everywhere dude. Its not always at the same place for too long either... I try not to travel on the side streets for that reason nowadays... imo, theres more in the OC than LA area.

Yeah I have seen and heard but would be good if some one can post photos of this,. and what rights do you have when encountering one of these Mobil revenue generating machines

A couple years ago there was one on Imperial HWY on the south end of LAX. I just had my HKS cams done in my sr20 the day before so when I saw it I thought I was fucked! As I passed, the cop looked right at me but never motioned me to pull over into the smog pit. I had to go back home and change my shorts.

I saw one on Fremont here in Alhambra, grabbing people on the Northbound side... luckily for me I was headed South.

Wow is there really one set up in Chino Hills? Thats seriously like my cross streets and didnt see it today. Better keep an eye out :ughd:

One of my workers a year back was pulled over in oc, and had his car put on the mobile sniffer. He was driving a pos 80's econo box pos. It didn't pass the road side test. He showed me the paper he received, and it looked like the one you get when you smog your car. The chp let him go without any trouble.
