Seriously... For $2k more you could get status:one's kouki, and that thing is in a whole different category than 99% of the other cars you see in the FS section.

This car is pretty sweet too... But honestly, the asking price is a little high.

it is a nice swap and a lot of work, but when you decide to build a car then sell it, you should not expect to get what you put into it,
nice car but price is a bit high like people have stated, GLWS

Wheel bearings, tires, and a fluid change isnt worth adding $4k to the price anywhere... Especially not on Zilvia. Nobody is flaming on you, its a real nice car. Its just going to be reeeally hard to find a buyer willing to shell out $15k for it. $11-12k? Hell yeah, this thing would be gone in a week.

Well if you really want to know why your car doesnt warrant a $15,000 sale...

Here it goes:

-Paint is dull.
-Body isn't straight
-Interior is crap [cracked panels]
-molded flares are ugly
-yellow headlights
-wtf happened to the shift boot
-stock body, nothing to make it special
-fake bride steering wheel
-nothing special or worth $800 about intercooler piping.

i COULD keep going on but im about to leave the house.
btw. you arent supposed to add installation prices
and value does depreciate after something is used.

IMHO... it should go for maybe.... $7,000-$9,000.
$10,000 if youre lucky.

If you collect and build cars, you should know you NEVER get back what you put into the car. $$$$$

Sorry.

This car is worth $15K http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=196537

the car was built for performance not for SHOW...as u can see
the only thing that is crack on the interior is the radio trim...
straight body, original paint, flares is for the rims to make it fit...due to off-set also depends on who is looking at it...i like it...
like i said im in NO RUSH on selling the car....that car has all the performance part done...all it needs are the cosmetic, ie; paint, etc (which doesnt really bother me)
i rather have no show but ALL GO.
there were/are alot of cars here that are bone stock that sells for couple grand cheaper than mine...

werwuryoantenaz
07-14-2008, 11:50 PM
interior is about 9/10
only thing that is crack is the radio trim
exterior is about 8/10
paint is chipped on the rear bumper, couple tiny dings here and there
engine 10/10
perfect condition, babied never pushed

i know that u dont get the money that u put in your car...but also know what i have and what it can go for...it might take awhile for the car to sell but im in no rush...

the only reason im selling the car is because i dont use it...i might as well sell it to someone that will actually use it, for what its built for...

asking price 15,500 OBO

your setup isnt even "ALL GO"
thats why you arent gonna sell your car for 15000

That setup that he is running is probably giving him around 350whp which is making that car move. Those tomei ecu's are no joke they are tuned really good and make the car move hella fast. The car has many things done to it and is definately worth $15,000 GLWS bro.

i real love seeing all the low ball prices...8k to 9k haha thats making me laugh

how offen do you see a 2001 s15 spec r sr20 engine complete with tranny and lsd...on a us 240 chassie...low millege and never been pushed...or even fuck with...swap was done by a professional shop, not some backyard BS.

just cause some guy is selling his 240 cheaper than mine that doesnt mean i have to match his price...
look at all the mods on the car and stop LOW BALLING me.

I don't mean to troll again in your new thread, but I really don't understand how regular maintenance constitutes such a large markup from the previous owner's asking price. I have no clue what you actually paid; you say 11K. Still, man, why don't you knock just a few grand off? 150,000 miles isn't really low mileage. Even if someone not familiar with the prices of S14s comes in thinking it's a deal, they'll see the other posts by other users and back out. I wish I would have had the money to buy this from the previous owner and not let it go to someone trying to make so much money off of it. Also, on a side note, you really need to work on your grammar and spelling. It's horrendous.

Nonetheless, I guess GLWS..?

You're acting like an S15 SR is some rare and priceless artifact and that because someone paid for the swap to be done somehow makes it better.

Both of those ideas are completely wrong.

It doesn't matter what you paid for your car, work done to it, parts installed, etc. You have to base your asking price off of the market. I could spend $40k on paying a shop to put a factory new SR into a shitty S13 and slap a new multistage pearl paintjob with sueded out interior, etc etc, but in the end, I'm not going to get more than $10k for it, and I'd be lucky to get that.

In the end, you may ask what you please, and you may find someone dumb enough to buy it, but for me I'd break down the car like this -

Shell - $2k
Engine - $6k (4k for engine and 2k for everything else)
Wheels - $1.5k

$9500
add a few more bucks in there to make up for lowballing and you're looking at $11,500 OBO.

That's MORE reasonable.

That's just my opinion - good luck with your sale.

are you parting out your 240 or are you selling the car itself?
