Call a repair man.
Call up some friends to help you do it.
Call mommy and daddy.

I'm moving this to tech section. I don't see how this is Off Topic.

You might want to be a little more descriptive with what the actual problem is. I don't understand what the hell you are trying to say.

the cable is attached to a pulley on one end of the garage door. It broke therefore the other end is still trying to pull the door up, that is why it is slanted. There is a large coiled up spring above the garage door that assists in raising up the garage door. If you disconnect the garage door opener via the red handle you should be able to lift the garage door and prop it up with something. Keep in mind that it is going to be very heavy, especially if it is a 2 car door. Have someone come over to replace the cable that snapped and whatever you do:

DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The spring at the top has a tremendous amount of tension on it and if not dealt with properly it will break fingers, hit you, overall ruin your day.

hey guys sorry if i got crappy typing skills ok heres my problems. alright well fist of all i was sweeping my garage and when i was finished i left a broom on the rail by accident because i forgot to move it well then i closed the garage and the garage went reverse but in a slanted way so i tried opening it again and it just got stuck slanted so the cable got loose and slid off the end tabs are still on there just gotta put it back on and tighten up the tension springs like i did last time with my friends. and i still havnt fixed it yet my friends coming over to do this for me he put together his garage at his fathers house so hes pritty top notch with working on garage doors

see thats the tab that slides onto the pulley at the other end its not broken just needs to be put back on and add more tension to it

looks like an easy fix. Like I said, be careful when you add tension to that spring. Good luck.

Do you know how heavy garage doors are?

If you don't know what you're doing I suggest calling somebody who does.

My brother almost got his finger taken off when we tried to fix our door. 9 stitches in his finger.

If you really need your car put it in reverse and give it as much gas as you have in the tank...

the door is light and also all i really gotta do is put the cable back on thats it

The door feels light because the springs are holding the majority of the door's weight.

yea man watch out the garage door repairmen will rape your butt. when they came out to fix our old garage before we moved out, the bill was hundreds, and all he did was mount up a new spring basically

Yea, doors with that central spring can be a bitch, you have to put a shit ton of tension on them.

If you don't know what you are doing, I wouldn't fuck with it, you can seriously fuck yourself up.

its really easy..

you just connect the lines on the bottom,
let the door down all the way.

start tensioning up the middle section with 2 bar stocks.
longer the easier.

it's not that hard..

i did it 10+ times when my dumbass dad kept trying to close the door (electric opener) and it finally unravelled from the drum and fucked it up.

its not harddd
