I just bought a ARC oil pan. however, It looks like it has the same design as a greddy one. I've read that it is a nice unit compare to Tomei and Greddy. But when i look at the pan, there are no buffer plate like the Tomei one. Anyone has any input???

Actually man its a great pan...The thing with cast pans is that they sweat
"leak" through the pores. Just get the pan powder coated ! best thing you can do.

ARC makes some of the best products I have seen, as far as welds and being light weight. If you have ever picked up one of their intercoolers and compared it to other manufacturers you can see and feel the difference. The oil pan should be no different.

I'd take a Greddy pan over the ARC pan any day of the week. ARC pan is a big waste of money. As for the guy that says aluminum cast pans leak through the pores, you are wrong. The only ones that do that are the Chinese Freddy pans.

Exactly, the Greddy pan is a very dependable product and is probably the best selling aftermarket pan, not because it's cheaper than the ARC pan, but it has the better design. Why get the Porsche when you can get the GTR for cheaper?

ARC makes total shit intake chambers though.... Makes the car really loud, but loses HP....

I've got the ARC sump, pretty damn well made from what I can see. Does the job.

D1 drivers don't use Greddy because its the best, they use Greddy because Greddy pay them cash to use them or give them free.

No HKS in general for parts is better.

For oil pan (even though I own a Greddy) I like Tomei better

Everything that greddy makes that is threaded besides their intake mani seems easily stripped or breakable

arc makes some high high high quality shit but at a steep price... from what i learned in life and especially with car parts.... you get what you pay for....

you've got yourself a good oil pan there, so keep it..

Greddy, Tomei, ARC, all make good oil pans. Its all a matter of preference. It sounds like you got it at a good price, I would just keep it.
