I am having some difficulty backing up my dvd's that I have at home. I have dvd shrink and Nero 6 Express. Now I understand how to shrink them down. I get them into a VIDEO_TS folder and .IFO files and .VOB files. Now when I go to burn it onto a dvd it'll start and goes for a few seconds then immediatly stops and says burn process failed.
Now I have borrowed some of my brother's dvd's that he has backed up and tried the same thing and it still fails.
Anyone have any ideas?

try slowing the speed of the burn down to somethin half as fast as your burning now, like if you burning at 20x try 10x

Tried that, didn't work. Just took a little longer to fail.

Usually when my comp doesn't cooperate i just kick it a couple times.. Hay maker or 2... But yea mine does the same exact thing. I can't figure it out what it is without having to buy anything new

I'm gonna download the free trial of nero 8 ultra and see if that helps.

use IMGBURN.
it's what I use for the Xbox360 games + PS2 games.
Hasn't failed me yet.

Doesn't work either. Errors out right away.
I can't even make a data dvd to save files. Still writes cd's though so I have no idea.

I'm having the same problem, I believe it's burner. Mine was working fine finished burning one dvd stick in another and it wont work. I haven't been able to burn since then. What does the error say in the shrink log?

I got it to work. I wanted to try this last but ended up saying screw it. I just flashed it and put the latest firmware on it and it works now.
