I was wondering the same thing. I called and talked to Brian there awhile ago, but then all of the sudden the webpage went down and that's the last I heard of them. I'll have to see if I still have their phone numbers. I know the two guys that started the shop were Marines that were stationed in Japan, but I don't think they are still active. Because if they are, they might have been deployed... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

Crap...sry EvilS14...I accidentally deleted your post along with the two others that had nothing to do with this thread. You're right though. It's now Santeca:
http://www.santeca.com/
So is their shop still in Indiana on i-74? and does anyone have the phone number for that shop. This seneca page seems like a corporate website.. and i can't find the specific shops that they distribute too.
Also, has anyone had any work done by them? thanks!

Figured I'd chime in on this since I work for Santeca. OIM no longer exists. Brian and Jeff work for a company here in Indy called Santeca (a division of Sanyo) which produces mobile video and audio electronics and HID conversion systems. We have expanded our company and now import JDM tuning parts from such companies as Power Enterprise, East Bear, Zenitani, Voltex, etc.. We also have a tuning shop (Santeca Tuning Factory) on the renowned Gasonline Alley in Indianapolis just down from the track.
Our project S13 was in our booth at SEMA and we are about to start work on our next project a Z33 twin turbo conversion.

Someone mentioned not being able to find a dealer for us. My buddy Alan Obermiller who runs Project240.com is one of our dealers.
Wow, well as i had said your shop was in the perfect location for me, being right inbetween where i go to college and where my family lives. I was wondering how many swaps you do a year, how booked you all are, etc. if you have a phone number i can call you tuning shop @ that would be great :-D thanks.
i'm looking to get an s14 sr installed in my 96 240.. so if you think its plausible to have you all do that, i'd like to talk to the shop about it :-D thanks!
If you can quote me prices etc, email me @
[email protected] thanks :-D!

on another note, being from cincy, i'd just like to take this opportunity to express how excited and happy i am that there is a sweet shop within 3 hours of me :-D :-D :-D. We get so neglected around here..

First of all it's NOT A XENON CONVERSION KIT. It's a 100% pure High Intensity Discharge Lighting System conversion. lol. It's an awesome system, probably one of the if not the top kits on the market. We've got OE development in the works for a major manufacturer:) The entire kit is manufactured by us, we don't source components. If I recall correctly the average price for a thunderbeam hid kit with the hi/lo is around 500. 10000k will be here soon:p
About the shop, it's not a retail outfit specifically, it's major reason for being there is building cars. Doing swaps, installing turbo kits, stuff like that. We don't sell clear taillights or stickers or anything like that and there is no showroom. Brian doesn't mind doing basic trouble shooting and stuff like that but most of his time is put into the swaps and tuning.
About the RB25 swap. I can't give you a price because I honestly don't know it. If you are interested at all you can give brian or jeff a ring at 800.528.0116 and talk to them about it.
It's obviously going to be more expensive than your run of the mill SR swap but it's a mean swap when all is said and done.
The car that is at the shop right now is down from Seattle and is getting the RB25, FMIC, ss manifold, and the rest of your basic bolt ons. I believe it will be sticking with the stock turbine unless the owner decides otherwise.
Oh and it turned out to be that stomach flu that's going around Evil. And quit telling people I'm gay, I told that to you in confidence you homo!

My bad... Excuse my ignorance, but what color will 10000k appear as? What are the main advantages? hehe

10000k is a measure of lumens. The higher the number the bluer the light will be. Our 5200k kit is Super White. The lower you go the whiter the higer you go the bluer. Oh and I misspoke, the 10000k kit is already out.
The main advantage of HID is visibilty, you'd be amazed how much better the road is lit up with the HID.
To be honest with you I could have cared less about HID, I thought it was a waste of money until I actually drove down the road with one.
Plus it looks friggin' cool especially when you turn your lights on and they "charge". lol.

I agree. . . HID is definately a vast improvement over night time driving. How much for the 10000k? I assume it's available in H1, right? That'd be sweet. =)
Another question.. Not sure if you can answer, but. . when I hit my high beams, will the HID remain lit? Ot does it shut off, as it would as a replacement for a dual-filament system.
thanks!

Actually, I was wondering about the HID conversions you guys sold as well. How much would the H4 kit with OUT the high/low thingy be? Since S14's have a 4 bulb system, we really don't need the high/low feature on the HID bulb. Do you offer a 6100K kit? And does the kit carry any sort of guarantee? Drop me an email if you get time.
BTW...10000K is a measure of thermodynamic temperature (color temperature) in Kelvin, not Lumens. Lumens is the measure of the actual brightness exiting a bulb. I've done way to much research into HID conversions... :P There's a guy here in Lafayette that bought the 4100K kit from Autolamps-Online.com and was getting high beamed left and right. Then he switched to a 6100K kit, and is now hardly ever high beamed. Reason being, because the 4100K kit actually puts out more lumens of light than the 6100K kit. The 4100K is brighter because the color temperature is more useable light. Blue light is one of the less useable light temperatures. The higher the Kelvin rating, the bluer the light will be. Natural sunlight is right around 5000K or so.

I always confuse kelvins and lumens, one of these days I will realize the K stands for KELVINS...lol.
For the S14 we do have a low beam only kit available.
Available "colors"
Super White (4300k)
White Blue (5200k)
Ultra Blue (7500k)
Mega Blue (9000k)
Our 10000k kit is now out but I don't know what it's called (I'm at home...lol). Probably Super Blue.
Personally when I get the kit for my VR4 (waiting for my h4 conversion because I have that gay fixed lens/bulb crap stock) I'm going with the White Blue kit. It's really white with just a hint of blue. I haven't seen the 10000k kit but I have seen the mega blue and it's blue as hell:p The "lumens" our kits are rated at is something like 3200 if I recall correctly.
Unfortunately I don't have a pricelist with me right now but our kits are in the range of 400-600.... obviously the hi/lo h4 kits being the most expensive.
Here is an application chart http://www.santeca.com/hid/thunderbeamapp.xls
