Looks like a nice ride, the auction claims 1000hp but there is no dyno The part about it being a fully built "MONSTER" drag car capable of 8's, while still being a "EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE in SCCA, SpeedChallenge, TimeTrial, NASA Pro or any other road-racing/circuit setting" seems like a stretch. Not to mention the fact that it has no engine managment system. So the 1000 hp figure and 8 second et, I would say are "optimistic".

But the cool thing is that it is a local car, so maybe I will see it some time. Though I still have not seen the TK R33 running around here. I gets no

I think that is the same car from this magazine I saw in the grocery store called "Makes and models." If it is, he only imported the car as a race car and now can't even get it legal for some series that require the car to be road legal, or have enough equipment to be considered street...

I've heard very good things about the place the guy got his motor built at. In fact thats where I plan on taking mine if/when it blows.

Oh yeah altered atmosphere is good stuff. However I find it hard to believe that anyone dynoed that car at 1000hp when it doesn't even have an ecu. sounds like the seller is um embellishing things a bit.

personally, why spend that much on a car when you cant drive it down the road...and like someone said above some series require the car to be road legal, and this clearly isnt...why didnt he just get it imported the other way...what is it something like up to 11k, or atleast thats what i read somewhere, clearly the dude has enough money when he sunk what was it 60k or 80k into it(looked at it on ebay and think thats what the figures were)

Edit*man i like my side notes haha...wonder what could be made of a 240 with 80k...that would be something fierce(sp)...haha

A. He planed it as a show or race car, he did mention some thing about it being a purpose built drag "monster".

B. He didn't plan well and got stuck.

C. I doubt that there is 80K in that car. Maybe if you add up all the parts and labor at retail value. But if you or I were dropping a third of that money on a tuner we should be able to leverage a significant discount.

No, The motor was built at a seperate machine shop. I haven't heard jack about altered atmophere and I was quite surprised that they even got the chance to work on an RB. I'm sure you know my feelings on the speed shops in this area :D

The motor was built at a speciatly shop. I forget the guys name but I keep hearing good comments about him. Enough to make me remember him.

Yeah, they're out there.. Such as Joey's R34. . (TopSpeed?) as pictured, up in Chicago. But whenever I go there, I never see it!! This pic was taken by a friend up there over the summer:

I know, about everyone here prolly knows about it.. but DAMN!! I never get to see it haha. .

I'm considering an R32 myself, because... it's actually an achievable goal for me!
