last night I parked my sileighty out in the street. but then realized I'll back it into the driveway cause theres room. so I go back to start my car and nothing. not even a click from the starter. I have power to the windows and lights still. but nothing to the starter. did I blow a fuse?? starter motor maybe?? electrical isn't really my strong point. But I don't want to take it to a shop to get fixed cause this has happened before when I tried to install HID's, but then I had no power to anything when that happened. It's kinda wierd that this also happened after I installed strobelights. both lighting systems are ran straight to the battery but the car has been running fine since I installed them three days ago. if anyone has suggestions of where I should start to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. cause with this issue I really need help. thanks

Check for a blown fuse first. If they are fine, check battery cables at the battery, and at the starter. If those are fine try jumping the solenoid on the starter with a screwdriver and see if it cranks over (make sure the car is not in gear) If no go, hit the starter with a hammer on the side of the case and try to start with the key, if it suddenly starts working start making plans on getting a new starter if not, you probably still have a bad starter. Its a good time to replace battery cables at that point too if yours are wore out.

also see that you're engaging your inhibitor switch. I had this problem once too, everything worked but when you turn the key nothing happens @ all. The switch is depressed when you push in the clutch. A little pad pushed in the switch completing the ignition circuit. Basically why you push the pedal in a manual car but not auto. It also provides kind of a neat theft proofing device too. I just left the pad off so when you get in my car you have to push the switch with your hand while you turn the key.

instead of hammering the starter from the side because it's very hard to reach to begin with. what i do is put the car in neutral and push it back and forth a little. that's the equivalent of hitting the starter. well, it works for me at least =D, good luck. sounds like you got a starter issue i hit the same thing a few months ago... 150dollar fix from a mechanic.
