Patching a hole in the Intake Manifold

so, my swap progress has halted due to finding a GIANT FUCKING HOLE in my inteake manifold. Of course i only discovered it after the engine was already installed......

The hole is from a bracket breaking off (the one that holds the heater hoses up).

If i hold the broken off piece of the bracket up,there is still a smallish hole where the metal just disappeared.

Should i just use JB Weld? I'm assuming this would be the easiest/cheapest/most practical solution. but just wanted to hear what y'all have to say

JB Weld for a quick solution. I ran with a JB Weld patch on my SR T25 compressor outlet for a couple years, with no problems. Just clean the area carefully so it bonds properly.

new intake manifold. do it right. or take it to a reputatle welder to put that back on and patch it up for you.

It's a stock intake mani, why not replace it?

JB Weld will work fine, as long as there's no vibration or torque coming from that 'bracket'.

u can use jb weld like everyone else said... u can sand it a bit after it dries so you dont have a clump of that stuff and check that it covered it nicely... and btw sand it a bit before aplying the jbweld so it has a 'ruffness' to stick to... but i think its to big to get a nice job weld that for real not jb...

on a completely unrelated note...blowby is a bitch. After letting the manifold sit for about an hour i've got a pool of oil about 4" in diameter coming out of the runners. Is this a normal sign of blowby on a turbo engine.....or are my rings all fucked up? Keep in mind this engine hasn't been run in who knows how long

if its the exhaust manifold, it would be disastrous to jbweld... intake manifolds dont face nearly as much punishment so i'd say its fine long as you are meticulous in the application of it.
