Airsoft laws?

Hey everybody my bro and I got into airsoft. Needless to say we get tired of playing in our 1 acre of backyard. We live in the dessert lots of lonely places. I was wondering if it was illegal to play airsoft in the fields and such. Is there no playing anywhere thats not a certified area? I've read on airsoft forums and such but I only see them say about orange tips in california and then they change it and talk about a different state... Kind of hard to get concrete info.

Red tip and biodegradable BBs. No silencers, replicas count as well.

Me and my friends got picked up by the police for airsofting in a large empty public park in the suburbs. They are still considered weapons in my town, although it may be a town ordinance.

i have no idea, but i do have a couple friends that play in private yards and lots where they got permission and have never been hassled.

their guns all have orange tips on it too.

my bro plays airsoft. i think just keep the orange tip and you are golden

it really depends on how cops are in your area(imo) i use to play in tourney's and what not but we'd play in our neighborhood, our neighbors didn't care. cops would let us practice later during the day at the elementary school near my house to.

the orange tips are very good ideas, not matter how dumb you may think they are, people have been shot over stuff like that by cops iirc.
