Hi all.
I need some 25mm or so, spacers for my S14, 5 studs.
I want them to be the type that has pressed in studs, and does not require longer studs, instead of the oem.
Allso i want them to be HUB and WHELL Centric, obviously.
I see many brands on ebay, but i dont want to go wrong with such a vital ,safety component.
I will be using the car for Drag, and Drift as well as Road Racing, so i am looking for something Strong, Light and most importantly - reliable and performance proven by you.
So if anyone has some experience with a certain brand, please let me know wich one and where can i get them.
I'dd also be happy to hear if you recomand against certain brands, so i could stay away from them.
Thanks,
Dany.

These are brands that you used and have experience with ?
Like did you had these on your cars, and ran them thru Drift/Drag/Road for some time, and had no problems ?
I'd appritiate if people add some comments about the spacers they sugest, and not just give me a link - as links i can find myself - is the actual comments that i am after...
To many LINKS/BRANDS is exactly my problem in deciding on a good product.
For example, those ONETONEGARAGE spacers are exactly the oposite from what i want, and its clear from reading the site, thats its a piece of junk spacers......They dont even have the 5 stud version available yet.
Thanks.
Just go H AND R, or Max power

well that'll center the rim nice and dandy, but wont do much as far as the spacer is concerned...
Master Chief - i'd trust H&R, very nice quality stuff.

I bought 25mm bolt on wheel hubcentric adapter/spacers from this website ezaccessory.com. I got them for like 88 bucks for a pair. ive used them for 2 years now with beating on my car in touge/autox events with ZERO problems what so ever. Never had a stud stripped out or anything. When ordering, make sure you let them know what thread pattern you need for the studs.

its a fuckin metal circle with holes unless you are getting the huge ones with new studs and crap, in which case you should just get wheels that fit

It makes a huge difference. Ever seen a s14 shear the studs and slide on his own wheel? UHmmm yeah

^^^thats only when using wheels that wont clear the caliper right? A hub centric spacer should hold the wheel on tightly enough using friction from what ive heard.

Great.
Now tell me this. For the front i think i'll need only 15mm spacer.
Should i go with BOLT-ON-SPACER type for these, or go with LONGER-STUD-TYPE spacer ?
I always thaught the BOLT-ONS are better, but i am concerned about the little amount of material behind the spacer nuts, with such a thin spacer.
What do you think ?

I purchased some TC sportlines 25mm spacers. My impression... was the spacers look of good quality, but the studs are questionable. So I needed to test the contents. Bolted the spacers on, torqued down to 85fp then test drove nothing special. Then re torqued to 100fp. That spacers and wheel 100fp.
Drifted a little 30min sub session then a couple burnouts, followed by a few 400m runs. I feel they make the grade, but the studs are not too much of a question any more. They've seen multiple torque downs since that test, and a rigorous driving style.

WTF are you talking about?
bolt on spacers use acorn nuts.
and have you ever put a slide on spacer on?
it doenst move but like 1 or 2 mm if that
and even then normally it is still larger than the wheel mating surface
hubcentric is stupid

you guys do realize that the term "acorn nut" refers to a nut like this right?
http://www.mmsacc-stainless.com/assets/auto_generated_images/acorn-nut.jpg
this sort of nuts will NOT center anything.
hub centric is NOT retarded. the reason why it exists is so that the wheel studs are not the only thing carrying the shear force. the centering ring augments the stud in handling this force and will help to keep your wheel stud from, well, shearing off.
if you're going with >10mm spacer you should DEFINATELY go with a bolt-on type. H&R, Kics, Ichiba all sell this type, and all are hub-centric. All are good.
no these are acorn lugs

That is an acorn nut. Cause of the cover style. The other style is Open face.
You other 2 are arguing Standard/Tapered vs Mag/Flat.

Kic's spacers are by far the best quality spacer I've ever used. I have used those, ebay, and Ichiba. My friend had H&Rs on his E30, but you've got to install longer studs and it sucks doing that I really like the bolt on kind better.

Actually hub centric IS important in some cases. Look at what happened to the scion TC that modified magazine covered in the 25 hrs of thunderhill this year. The wheel ripped off and damaged the hub twice because the wheels were not hub centric. A non hubcentric wheel or spacer does not evenly distribute the load across the hub as a hub centric one does. This CAN overload the wheel studs or the hub itself and cause wheels to come off. As soon as the modified crew switched over to the OE scion wheels the wheels stayed on for thre remaining 20 hours or so in the race. The spacers that bolt-on and have a separate set of wheel studs in them are a bad idea. More places to flex and more shit to break.
