It has been about a week and I now notice every time drive over a bump in the road my car will hiccup or feel like it will die at any moment but it never does. Sometimes the hiccup will be bad and linger for a few seconds sometimes it will hiccup and go right away. It only happens when I am driving at moderate speeds (30-55mph) and hit a bump. I do have coilovers and my car sits pretty low. Has anyone else had this happen? I have a S14 sr, if that maters. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

you'd probably get more help in the tech section.

if bumps are the catalyst, my instincts say wiring problem.
wiring or parts flopping around are no good.

check your MAF. it's not good to have it sitting loose. you should make a little bracket or at least zip tie it.

OR is it your harness in the wheel well? your tire hits it every bump, and it's touching two wires that don't like each other? this happened on my s13 years ago before i learned my lesson and had to rewire half the harness at the track.

anything loose, tie down. at least you'll narrow it down. good luck.

EDIT: i know this might be dumb, but... you don't drive around on E do you? i've had my car bog mid-drift just due to low fuel. just throwin it out there.

derek s13- that is what i thought also that possibly my MAF was loose but the metal bracket that holds the intake is very tight and the MAF is secure. Would those 2 wires be some where behind the splash guard on the passenger side?

Gjohnson7- some of my couplers are old and starting to crack but maybe that is the problem.

im tihnking its a wireing issue. probably a loose connection.

yah my first thought here was wiring. I guarantee you its loose wiring or loose plumbing. Of course these are things that could take a long time to find.

alright thanks guys, i will start with plumbing and then go through the wiring. Hopefully its some simple wire issue.

make sure the bolt on the ECU harness connecting to the ECU itself is tight and there is no play in the connection. i've had that destroy me before.

if you still have fenderliners in, then this definitely isn't the issue.

thought you were lower :p

good luck man
