type x bumper question

is there a way around not using the bumper retainers to install? thanks!

It is a Kouki 180sx bumper. Type X is a trim level.


You have a couple different choices:
Use the proper OEM retainers and have it fit properly.
Use custom brackets, and possibly have it fit correctly.
Use no retainer, and have it sag like 80 yr old breasts.

i had a hard time finding the oem bumper brackets on the fenders, so i didnt use them. i used bolts and big washers along the sides of the fenders. im pretty sure that the oem brackets that go across the front will work with the 180sx bumper also. mine has a little sag, but no worse than what the oem was without the front bumper and foam support.
