I have a ka24de. I ran into some problems and had to take my head off of my block before I got to even install the engine in my car (that I've never even had the chance to drive yet). But the people who were helping me with my car didnt remove the ARP nuts and washers that were in the head. So I take it to the machine shop and I only find 9 nuts (I'm missing one). A friend of mine suggested just using a nut from lowes. My initial reaction is:cj: . But I really dont want to spend 110 bucks for one nut (I dont think ARP sells just the nuts for their studs, still waiting on a response). It sounds like a bad idea to me. Could a nut from a general hardware store really put up with the pressure from the compression and combustion on the head? Thanks for any and all help.

yes arp does sell separate pieces. I bought just one stud from them a few months back. They charge a bit on shipping but its better than buying a lowes nut or buying the whole set.
