I plan on being there until about midnight.

The first part of the meet is still tentative. I'm thinking about moving it farther north and out of Milpitas, but still next to 680. Pleasanton maybe. Make some suggestions.

I would be cool to have the first meet in a diff location (farther north-west plz, pleasanton is a good distance away for us northbay guys <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>) and then we can drive en-masse to the next location. Makes for good highway footage as long as its not too dark by that time.

there is a school on case and some buildings off of valley

My info about BattleVersion came from Club4AG's site also, so I probably don't know any more than you do. Alex mentioned that sales for Toyota parts were down and Nissan were up, but he might close the business altogether because it isn't bringing in enough money. I remember him saying a few months ago that his parts would become Signal Auto parts though. Dunno if the deal didn't go through or what.

No I've never obtained permission or reserved a lot to hold a meet. Never had to, but it'll probably become necessary later on.

From looking at MapQuest, Pleasanton Tennis & Community Park looks pretty big and close to 680. Anyone know what its parking lot is like? I'll probably go check it out sometime.

I don't know what the weather'll be like so I don't know if we should have a potluck or whatnot. Go ahead and bring food if you'd like. I'm sure there'll be hungry people. :P

I have no idea how many people would show up. Normally over twice the number of people who respond about it show up, and both of the previous meets had about 40 people. But Dec 27 is between two holidays so people might be out of town, and who knows what the weather'll be like.

Pleasanton is about 90 minutes from Sacramento. And I think Milpitas would be about 30 minutes from Pleasanton.

I went and took a look today, and ya you're right, it's small. But just a little further is Pleasanton Sports Park's parking lot, which is quite big. I think that might be a nice place for a meet. It's at the intersection of Hopyard Road and Parkside Drive (5800 Parkside Drive). Matt if you go take a look lemme know what you think.

Hey SR20Fastback, I got 2 spair tires. &nbsp;they are 205/55/16's &nbsp; &nbsp;They are used but got enough tread to last a few months or a few track days. &nbsp;I'm geting rid of them because they don't offer me the traction I like with the camber I run. &nbsp;Let me know if they fit and I'll hook you up. &nbsp;Lets say, 50 for the pair. &nbsp;I may have 2 more buy then also since I'm going to be purchasing new rears for my Hatch. &nbsp;215's are just not enough for 300hp in my opnion. &nbsp;email or IM me and we'll chat.

The Pleasanton park I was talking about is in Pleasanton (still tentative), and is for the first part of the meet. The second part which starts at 6:00 PM is at Milpitas Golfland. You're right, Golfland's parking lot isn't very big, but I don't expect everyone from the first part of the meet to caravan to Milpitas. If we do have too many cars and not enough parking, then I'll probably take some people to Tapioca Express. (Or maybe everyone.) *Shrug* Can't move the second part of the meet to a park cuz parks are supposed to be closed 30 minutes after sunset, and I doubt that Milpitas police would be lenient. Edit: I just wanna add that Friday nights are street racing nights, so be extra careful about not getting in trouble with the police. Especially don't do anything that would get everyone else in trouble.

$140 for Streets of Willow and only two run groups... That is a good deal. :P I won't be able to go but I'll envy the amount of track time people will get.

Well, a few reasons, and they're not necessarily good reasons. :P

- We already had a meet at D&B in August.
- AE86s are having a meet (probably a small one) at Golfland also.
- There'll be an Initial D arcade tournament that night, and it'd be neat to see some common drift cars (AE86, 240SX) in the parking lot.
- We can play arcades without having to be 21 or older or escorted in.

Upcoming NASA HPDE Days

Ok, since the last attempt at a track day feel through, there are two NASA High Performance Driving Instruction days/weekends in the month of February. Tthere is on on February 8-9th at Inferion(Sears Point), and on on the 22-23 at Thunderhill.

I belive its $219 for the two day school, which includes instruction. I want to see how much interest we can get, and maybe we can approach them about getting a group deal of sorts, so let me know if your interested, and if so, which date you would prefer.

Im not going to be at the golfland meet, but the NASA site is.http://www.nasaproracing.com if your not familiar with them. You have to be a member of the org. but iirc, its only $40 a year, so the real cost for two days would be around $260, still not bad for instruction combined with track time.

haven't talked to any of you for awhile. &nbsp;Busy working for JIC Magic and working on the FD3S. &nbsp;But finally the baby is alive and being driven around. &nbsp;Not quite sure what to name her yet but she seemed enthusiastic to meet her older sister Emily, the FC3S TII. &nbsp;So hopefully when meet prep is final, I'll meet up with you guys with the new car.

BTW, the shop I work for needs an S14 zenki or kouki to come by and try some new wheels that we just got. &nbsp;All we want to do is mount some wheels and tires, take some pictures, and we'll even pay you $20 for coming down. &nbsp;Here's some requirements tho.
- Must be 1995-1998 240sx zenki or kouki
- Must have suspension mods (shocks, coilovers, springs, etc.)
- Entire car should be in considerable condition
&nbsp;(If your car is chosen, it will be in our wheel/application catalog coming out in January 2003.)

The wheel(s) that we want to mount on your car would be Enkei RPF-01s 17s and 18s, and Gram Light Pros 17s and 18s. &nbsp;Thats all. &nbsp;Just mount wheels, take pics, and you'll get paid $20. &nbsp;Simple huh? &nbsp;Anyone interested? &nbsp;

As for the space my partner is searching the livermore valley pretty hard for a reasonably priced place. damn bay area real estate prices and the crazy, dot com, crack smacking landlords. hahahahhahhaha
Seriously though we want to find a decently priced space so the overhead does not kill us so our prices to you are good. Besides our desire to offer top notch service.

Up Date on the SR. Well it was a blown head gasket after all. I took the head in to get resurfaced and I should have it back Tuesday or Thursday at the latest. Which means I should have it up and running again by Fri. If everything goes good I may accually be able to make the meet on Fri. I'll keep yall updated. Oh and Dave, when is your SR shop gonna be up and running. I am gonna need some more parts soon. Lata and Merry Christmast everyone.

I got an email back from NASA. They said that for every 1 person we get, we get a 1% discount, all the way up to 30%. So by a show of hands (or posts) who will be SERIOUSLY intrested. I dont want this to turn out like our last planned track event that bill and everyone else worked SO hard to put together. Please only if you're serious, email IM or PM or post. I will try to get back to you on the cost of the event,I believe its 179 per day. You will need a 40 dollar membership to NASA to participate.

i got my s15 headlights off ebay from "ITRkid" brand new in Nissan box with sealed brown tape from AUS. 665 shipped. of course u can get it cheaper on ebay but yea mine were brand new. his shipping was 55 bucks and took a week and a half or so. or u can get 3 day which was 75 bucks. some people charge 65+ bucks so yea. he doesnt put a reserve too so tahts good. personally i think when there are hella s15 headlights for auction is when you buy since the price will be somewat spreaded thru all the lights and should be cheaper.

This year's Gumball 3K event starts in San Francisco in mid-April.

Assuming people are down, I propose that all NorCal240SX Members meet up and "chase" the Gumball guys to Vegas.

I'd say let's chase them farther, but most people probably can't do that. I figure Vegas is good cus we can all party there, and its not too far from home.

Plus less speeding tickets. :D

I'm serious about this, kids... so anybody who thinks it'd be fun/stupid/whatever, post up and let's see if we can't get something going.

Personally I don't like telling the route on public forums, and rarely post a meeting time and location when going for a drive. Sooo just show up and follow everyone. :P I'm gonna estimate that we'll drive for about 70 miles. That includes freeway miles and up and down the mountain. We'll probably all go to a gas station first, unless everyone shows up with enough gas.

hey anybody have the stock intake piping, plus airbox that i can borrow for my smog inspection? my car passed the emissions part, but the mechanic wouldn't look the other way on visuals because my intake doesn't have a carb sticker. on the other hand, does anyone know a place that doesn't care about the visual inspection part? i need to have this done by the end of the month, so if anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

What this means is our planned extension of Cartune into the bay area is stuck on a indefinite hold. Two damn bunk things happen at once. it sucks. Attend to the Scca auto-x . They have auto-x events every 3-4 weeks. Go there, check around to see how are the ppl doing and how does it work. Most ppl there are happy to guide you through. You will find more interesting and fun there compared to drag racing. (IMO)

Dang it, I always miss the NorCal meets by like a week or two. I'm coming home for my spring break on the 19th. There is an auto-x at Candlestick on the 23rd, is anyone else going to be there? I haven't done any of the SF events, only CSCC down here, so it would be cool if I could hook up with someone. Plus, it can get a bit dull when you are by yourself if you stay the whole day. I got to race today, but I haven't had a chance to put in my LSD yet, it will be fun to see how much of a difference it makes next time.

Well BJ was going to setup a mini meet i guess, But for some reason he isnt posting alot of details. (probly a good idea actually)

I am coming up there to pick up a swaybar, so i figured it would be cool to have a meet. Hang out, go for a drive or something.

Just keep it fairly small. I am down for having it either Sat or Sun, just whatever is easier for everyone else. I was hoping BJ would come up with better details, cuz as you know I don't know the area at all.

Yeah i think i roll through to that meet at In n Out. Ill be rollin a gold accord or a Black Lexus though. My cars been in the shop since beginnin mid january n it looks like it wont be ready this weekend. ProjectSilvia1(Mike) yeah i do have a problem with boost spike. I think the actuator(wastegate wutever u wanna call it) cant hold it. i was thinkin of lookin into that HKS actuator kit thing if i dont do a turbo upgrade. But yeah me n Dr.Charles when he was at Area 51 sat on the dyno for like an hour doin run after run messin with the AVC-R tryin to get it to hold at 11 lbs but we couldnt get it to. It peaks at 11 lbs n then drops to 8 lbs. but actually i think it dropped around 6grand. which is cool for me cuz if i drag it i shift just after 6 grand neways no point in taching it up. n when im goin through the turns im not tryin to keep it hella tached up so its all good either way.

well as of right now there are maybe a dozen people coming to the sunday meet. am not sure how many are going on the saturday meet. I think cause of the drifting events not many people have money to come to meets anymore.. But we should try to make a nice big 240 meet like the one at Mtn View... just a thought. l8s

but since this sunday is my first meet, what do you guys usually do besides hog parking spots at in-n-out?:p i'm, too, am new to the whole performance car thing, even though i've had another 240 before the one i currently own. so it'll be cool to meet some more experienced people.

on another note, the guy who was supposed to hook me up with smog fell through, so i'm still registrationless. plus, today, i had to buy two used tires today to replace a flat one and a bald one. but the good news is instead of having 3 different brands of tires, now i only have two!

I keep telling people... If you go to a meet and don't know anyone, meet some people or it's gonna be hella boring. At the Golfland meet, a group of us with about 7 or 8 cars left and had dinner at McDonald's, and then went to Sunnyvale's Golfland to play Initial D there. In fact, every meet I've been to in the past several months have been fun cuz a few of us would get together afterward and go do something. That's the only reason I go to meets. Just looking at cars gets boring really fast.

If you want to have an "interesting" meet, it basically has to be a small indiscreet meet. You can't exactly have 40 cars go driving up a mountain or whatnot without getting attention from cops. It has been tried by other meet organizers. One 240SX meet at D&B lasted only 30 minutes because the organizer had planned to have a street race afterward, so cops broke it up. That all car meet at Logitech was broken up by cops also, because of dumbasses revving and racing around, and the drive afterward never happened. Basically you go to a meet to meet people, and what you want to do with the people you meet is up to you.

I'd prefer that Civics and Integras dominate events like HIN and let 240SXs continue to dominate drift events alongside those old Corollas. A car that can perform is so much more appealing than a car that just looks pretty. A meet at an autocross event would be nice. It has been done before and it kept ricers away.
