As of now, we have the Aero kits, tail lights and corners, and coilovers coming in. If there is enough demand, the "Cobra" downpipe and the multi-link arms will be brought in. We may just set up a groupbuy for some special order items from Japan also.
D Max just got the warmest welcome from the US of A!

Dmax is legit. All their processing and packaging is done by people who care. They're not a big company like some other manufacturers, so I would say they put some "extra love" into it. That didn't come out right hahah. But Dmax is fresh, body kits are freshhh, and they brought their A game to the table. Welcome guys!!
yokotas13, just because you used to sell dmax and now they have US distributions, stop trying to bad mouth a company's reputation. I haven't had a problem contacting d-max and they happen to pick up everytime I call. Also, if you want to talk about service, you don't always reply your PMs and e-mails. I've asked you numerous times about parts. I've had to contact you repeated attempts with no luck. Why didn't you get to mine? Possibly cuz you're busy. Yeah shit happens.

think what you want. But i know first hand, that Dmax aero fitment is horrible (except hoods and roof wings) The front fenders dont line up right, same with bumpers and skirts, rear overs arent THAT bad.
and their suspension is the generic stuff runnign around japan.
im just throwing out facts that i know from first hand experience
But i will say, their downpipes, suspension arms, and interior FRP door panels are pretty good

not too long ago, you are selling and promoting DMAX brand from Japan, now you are bashing them ??? Did you drop them or after they found out you are grey marketing their products and stop selling to you ?
Just because you can't make any more profit from their products, there is no need to bash them. That's just not cool at all. I thought you were a pretty cool guy supporting the Zilvia.net community from Japan, I guess I am wrong.
Just like the Knapik say, there always a hater !
Even though Dmax products are less pricy than most Japanese branded products doesn't mean they are not good. Their products are are unique and different than most of the "ebay" aero kits.
Alot of bigger Japanese and US brand products are make in China or Taiwan. That doesn't mean the products sucks. Just a few example, TEIN, GREDDY, SEIBON, ORIGIN, TOMEI, MINES, etc .. all have products that are produced in China or Taiwan.
btw, IPHONE and IPOD are make in China.
We love DMAX and have been a pleasure selling DMAX products. We have supported DMAX at the very beginning and will continue to do so in the future.
Thanks again guys !

UPDATE:
From many of our customers' requests, we will be bringing our coilovers on our next shipment. If you are worried about quality, our coilovers are produced in the same factory as other major-branded Japanese companies (hint: "G", and "A"). We are also developing an overhaul program here in the states so that you guys can run your DMax Suspension with no worries!!

Honestly, I know that bad customer service will leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth. But I've been on the selling side of the industry for years, and shit happens. People are always telling "white lies" to keep their customers. Suppliers tell it to Manufacturers, Manufacturers tell it to their Wholesellers/Distributors, Distributors tell it to their Customers. So its understandable that you dont want to deal with that anymore, but EVERY company does it (but it still doesnt make it right....)
I think its great that D Max is here in the U.S., since now we can get products quicker, and get tech support a lot easier. I've been able to talk to them very easily, even before they came to the U.S.
As far as fitment goes, it's AFTERMARKET. Naturally, some modifications will have to be done. Zilvians do it all the time: pulling fenders to fit 18x11+0 wheels while stretching a 245 tire, zip ties on bumpers, and spray can paint jobs!! Fitting aero on a 10+ old chassis will naturally require some tweaking. Yeah, some will be worse than others, but thats AFTERMARKET....

its probably random, mine is not the hinge holes, i have a problem with the latch, its not centered, its a few mm to the driver side, so my hood has big gaps on the front and one side of the fenders, i have tried adjusting the latch on the body but it doesnt move as much as i need it to, and i didnt want to bend the latch on the hood, didnt want to break my dmax hood, but on the plus side i love the dmax all metal latch, its a lot better than the vis latch, i feel safer with the dmax without hood pins, its not super big deal, fits flush fits snug, just edges has big gaps, i still rock the hood proudly
i agree its not oem and its aftermarket, also the car being 15+ years old doesnt help, but if seibon and vis (which are not the best of quality parts) are better quality, then its not too cool, especially since the dmax cost a quite bit more

i know what you mean, the dmax pics was hard to image what it really look like, that second vent near the windshield confused me, i always thought it was a mesh vent, but when it came it was really just 3 carbon fiber fins

Do these hoods come with rain guards?
jookybanana
06-15-2008, 01:45 PM
rain guards where the vents are?
the main vents doesn't, rain wont get in if your driving, if your parked and its pouring out then yes your engine will get wet,
but the second vent near the windshield i guess does, since water won't get into the engine bay

I, personally, do not have any experience with this set up yet. I will be doing a full review during the Touke drift event on 8/23. However, our D1 drivers are doing very well with these exact coilovers, so I expect them to hold up very well.
These are the only pictures I have at the moment:

As someone who has bought from D-Max on numerous occasions their customer service is excellent. Not all their parts fit great but they actually have some unique designs unlike all the knock off mills out there.
Some of their parts come from overseas (i.e. outside Japan) so some of it is the same junk you can get from 20 other places.
I wouldn't bother buying their coilovers though when you can get the same ones from Powered By Max for less and have no trouble getting them overhauled.
DMaxUSA
07-21-2008, 05:53 PM
To give credit to the Powered By Max guys, their coilover is built to their specs, which is a great design. D Max coilovers are built to our specs, from the same factory that produces many of the major Japanese-brands' coilovers.
And just like many other manufacturers, we provide a 1-year limited warranty, as well as a replacement/overhaul program.

Yeah, fitment of the roof spoiler was so so (I previously had a Origin roof spoiler that "dry fit" a tad bit more flush to the glass than the DMAX)
Without double sided tape (just held to the glass), you could see it wasn't exactly touching entirely on the glass
But after using 3M double sided tape (not included but whatever, not a big deal), it's held on so far...and that's with freeway driving and two days of drifting at Balcony and HTM
LOL nope sorry Manny that's not your wheels, but you know I'm trying to get them here as soon as possible!

We're working on it buddy. I have some good ideas for balcony and oval. It's only a matter of time.
Oval - approaching the clip. Definitely some room for improvement if we were doing team drift. We were competing here so Aaron was aiming for the clip which makes it impossible for me to suck in w/o eating haybale.
http://a660.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/94/l_f1d6f98f35913b4bb8e19e5276032233.jpg
HTM - judged downhill. We can get door to door here but I think there's only room for two cars and there's no room for anyone to switch back around the next turn except for the leader. One time I went door to door with henry schelley and jeff jones during a comp right here but I had to drop a wheel in the dirt to switch.
http://a42.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/28/l_5ef9f6ca234dbc5e0def5b22d5196f91.jpg
Balcony - back turn. We went door to door on this one coming out of it. Aaron left me room.
http://a490.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/95/l_45928bb0b9583e3adf58a40f529093f1.jpg
Team Facial at Balcony - we should be starting to suck in on each other right here but we're a little off. Next time, we'll be door to door.

type I is not so good either boring.

For s13 silvia, I think type 1 is more of a classic style. Pretty rad in my opinion. I like the round edges of it. Type 3 is cool too for a more aggressive style. Definitely more eye catching.

Type 2 works with the kouki s14 better because the signal lights fill in those vents and give the vent a sharper look.
Type 3 is the best for kouki s14 though. The sharp angles match the sharp lines of the headlights and corner lights.

I would order a CF vented hood for my Zenki but finding someone that ships to a APO is damn near impossible and very costly.
I ordered the D-Max 30mm Front Fenders from RavSpec and they are not bad at all. Impressed with the quality as cheap as they were, need to modify them a little to make them fit correctly but overall not bad, I´ll post pics when I have them fitted.
