I did a few quick searches and found nothing.

Will the J30 ABS Driveshaft swap into the S14 chassis?

**I have a factory R200 LSD from an ABS model S14 already installed on my S14. I'm getting a weird rotational clunking lately (after having the R200 on there for about 2 years).

**I have been told that the bearing int the driveshaft may have gone bad due to extra stress from having that extra 3 inches of length on the ABS Differential.

**This may be B.S. but I fig if a J30 DShaft would swap over this would be a cheap fix since the DShaft seems pretty difficult to find from the ABS equipped S14's.

And the One Piece Shafts are just so pricey :(

Any info would be great!!!! :):bowrofl:

If it fit you'd already know about it.

It doesn't, it's too long.

And FYI, there's no extra 'three inches' on an ABS diff, it's about 1.5 inches at best.

^^ Fine Fine :( I was hoping that since the rear end swapped over the shaft might too.

--And i haven't been under the diff about 2 years so I didn't remember how much longer, just that it was longer...sorry. :)

Does anyone have any input as to what may be causing the rotational clunking?? Or should I just have a one piece fabbed up? :)

Driveline variations from the engine mounts, transmision, etc all have an effect on driveshaft fitment. Some people can get away with it, others notice a grinding right away as the shaft is jammed too tight against the transmission. You can try loosening and readjusting everything from crossmember, engine mounts, transmission mount, subframe, etc. to give a little more room.

Yeah i might just do that. Shame though, I just finished putingthe motor and tranny in not too long ago. I swapped in NISMO motor and tranny mounts.
