car sounds like shit...(videos)

my car sounds like total shit, turn it on and let it idle or after driving and coming to a stop I get that "ch ch ch ch ch" sound like loud ass belts and the idle starts bouncing up and down, the noise can get pretty loud too....the thing is when i turn on the heat or AC that noise stops and the idle stabalizes at about 1k but as soon as I flip the heat on a rattling noise starts like marbles in a can or something....they start and stop imediately depending when i turn the heat on and off...bobbing idle and "belt noise" happens all the time while im driving, rattling only happens when i turn on the heat...any ideas?

sounds like your alternator might be going out
when the elictrical gets loaded it makes the noise
the blower takes a bit of power to run

hmm...Sounds like it stuttering bad.

When you give it gas does the rpm's bog down?


Check spark plugs and wires.
Check MAFS, AIV, seafoam might do the trick aswell...

is this N/A? or turbo'd?

nah doesnt bog....i mean its a KA so acceleration isnt great anyway...but it really just does it at idle....thing is if the idle is jumping around and I just flick the gas the idle goes back to normal....thing is when i drive past shit i can hear the sound of my car bouncing back and it really sounds like shit

clean the iacv, maf also when your under the hood where does it sound like its coming from, any particular place like alt p/s a/c etc. GL

i mean obviously coming from the right side of the engine...but pretty impossible to tell where exactly its coming from

the only thing on right side is p/s and a/c could be water pump but doubt it. When you turn on the a/c the car naturally idles up a bit to counter act the power loss from the compressor kicking in, when you switch to heat the compressor turns off as well as idle up sequence. Try cleaning iacv, and maf maybe there dirty resulting in low idle during normal operation. Again GL

when i bought my 240 i had the same or similar prob. i tought it was just because it had the shit drove out of it, but when i went under it to fix a exhaust leak i noticed there was a shit ton of tranny fluid all ovr the tranny so i took the fill plug out to c how much fluid was n it well it was bone dry, even took the drain plug out still nothing, so i filled it and it helped alot, but fluid drained out n 2days, so now have to replace seals and gaskets.
