okay, im having issues putting the downpipe on and connecting it to the turbo elbow. did anyone have this issue? it looks like it won't go in because the transmission is in the way. because i can get all three bolts in the holes, but it wont go far enough so i can screw them in, it just sits there, and it looks like the tranny is blocking it from going all the way in.
did anyone have this problem and how did you solve it?
i'd appreciate any help.
thanks.

i got so irrirated that im just gonna run my car without a downpipe / exhaust for now, i need to get around town, my car has been out of it for awhile.
hooked everything up, put injectors in, installed afc neo,
on first start up car didn't start, battery got drained from leaving the key in A/C to mess around with the neo, charged battery for a minute, started it, car started.
when car started, the car was a little rough for a bit, idle at 1500, and alot of smoke came out, smelled like gas huge gas, burned my eyes like crazy, so im assuming the car is running rich, haven't tuned the neo yet, didn't have time yesterday because like 7 of my friends wanted to go canyon driving, so i just went with them and sat passenger.
after the car idleing at 1500, it droped down, and almost hit zero, it was struggling to keep the car on. im assuming its because i haven't pluged up all the holes for the vac lines seeing it was 12 midnight and i didn't have any vac caps, so the idle was at about 50 - 100, it almost hit zero.
good thing is the car finally started.
bad thing is no downpipe or exhaust extremely loud, but i had a BC on my car with the ka, that was loud as hell.
ill get some pictures when i decide to lift it again,
not really sure what turbo manifold, or elbow, all i know is the stock sr20 elbow is touching my tranny, and wont let me put my downpipe in, i have an aftermarket one but for some reason i keep forgetting to grab it at my friends house.
thanks for the help, i really appreciate it.

Don't be lazy and ghetto even if it's temp.
Because shit can and most likely will go wrong.
Check your dp for scratches and if you must, hammer it a little.

yeah i did my downpipe to turbo outlet off the car then dealt with putting it on as one piece.

downpipe looks good to me, worked on my friends kouki s14, when he was ka-t and worked with my friends s13 sr20, now its not working on mine, i dont know if its the stock sr20 elbow or whatnot, i really don't know why it wont fit, i tried using pry bars etc, to move the tranny out of the way, but the other day when my friend with an s13 got his dp made, i was checking out the elbow, and it was not even CLOSE of touching, is there a difference in the stock sr20 turbo elbow and after market?

the steering wasn't in the way? it was kinda a pain to get the manifold turbo etc in, im trying to bolt the dp from underneath but it won't go in because of the tranny.

no, i ran it from the top and cut off the mount on the downpipe, then installed the turbo and manifold after i bolted it to the rest of the exhaust
