My 92 240sx has 197xxx miles on it, I just did a compression test on it, before that I notice cylinder 2 and 3 spart plug soaked with engine oil, #3 is the worst. These are the number I got #1 is 165 to 170psi, #2 and 3 I got 170psi to 175psi (I assume this is wet compression number), and #4 is 165 to 170psi. I am thinking if it is worth to replace the head gasket or just save up to rebuild the engine or get another engine. My goal is stock engine with low boost in the future. Thank you for the advice guys.

if the sparkplugs are oiled on top, yes, you need valve cover gasket.

if oil has made it's way into the combustion chamber you need HG. i dont know if those compression numbers are possible with a busted hg though, maybe if its slightly blown between an oil port?

How about If I get the fel-pro head set, consider the milage and I assume these never replace. so I can replace both HG and VG and other seals. Is the Fel-pro brand good? Thank you guys
