Ok so i am wiring both a SAFC II and AVC-R on my s13 with a red top sr and i got a few problems first both controllers have a grey wire which is the throttle position so i splice both of these wires into one wire then run this one wire into the ecu. Now with the key on engine off both gauges read the same throttle percentage but when i start the vehicle and apply throttle the SAFC II reads 13 percent, the AVC-R reads 0 percent and the vehicle feels like its misfiring and hesitating really bad. do i have to run both controllers seperately to the TPS wire at the ECU???? also there are two ground wires on the SAFC II brown and black now the instructions say that they are supposed to be grounded to the same wire with the brown wire closest to the ecu and the black grounded one millimeter behind that. do these have to be grounded to the ECU ground wire?? can they be grounded to the chassis?? ANY OTHER INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

the safc wires have to be grounded to the ecu. i had the same exact setup that you had with no problems. it's best to solder the wires directly to the ecu wires as to reduce the possibility of adding resistance to the assembly. as for you safc reading 13 percent and the avcr reading 0 percent. that's just probably a matter of a wiring problem..maybe you dont have a solid connection, too much resistance in the wires that you added to splice. Just solder the wires directly to the ecu wires. scrape some wire cover off the wires about 2 inches from the ecu terminal and solder with a 30 watt maybe 35 watt iron nothing more and be very careful not to let the bead blead into the harness connector. also take time between solders to ensure that the wires dont get too hot. good luck

for the record apexi's off a pin on their tach signal on some of the safc pinouts. it's the yellow with red stripe for the tach signal, not a red with a white stripe. not that that's your issue, but verify whatever pinout you're using with another credible source. the car may be running jacked up because you haven't set the safc's IN and OUTs for your maf/ecu yet.

if you go under ETC, your Sensor Type should be Hot Wire 6 in 6 out if you're running the stock maf, calibration 1 to 1, if you're running a z32 maf then it'd be 2 in 6 out.
then change the car select to 4 cylinder with the arrow pointing upwards. if ur car still runs like shit, go to sensor check with the key in on position and just see what the tps voltages are closed and wide open throttle
