s13 sr20det blktop.....help please.

ok. here we go... i just installed my 2nd sr20det into a s13. i did the wiring like i did before...everything is connected. i have the problem that i crank the motor and it wont start. i checked time, fuel which it does have, checked the ignitor with my other ignitor chip from my other car. checked fuel pump. well i know its fuel because i spray brake cleaner into the vacuum line and it start up. stays on. its driveable but i as soon as i turn it off it wont start...will crank but wont stay on...it seems like it wants to catch but doesnt.
when i have it running i pulled the injector plugs and they all work because each cylinder stumbles. i ran out of ideas.

can any one help me out. please?????

how are your spark plugs?

they are new. ngk iridiums. thats what i thought but thats why i got new ones.

ecu doesnt have the bulb..its an e5 ecu.

well it almost sounds like its the Coolant Temp Sensor
But when you say you spay cleaner in there it starts up, kinda throw that off..

Does it start when cold but not when hot?
If So then it is your CTS

hmmm. no we havent wired in anything to the dash because im missing the ka plug for it

u should start with that. all the wire colors are the same and you only essentially need the black/blue (water temp for guage), yellow/red (tach signal), yellow/green (speedo), orange (start signal), black (ground). that's the musts, the other stuff like ac to work , check eng light, consult stuff, u can do also but start with that stuff and see if that takes care of it.

yea i checked all that. its getting fuel...i was researchin on zilvia about ecu and how there are different harness pin outs. now does any one know bout ecu? currently its an e5 ecu. could it be that its a wrong ecu for the harness...or is this just a theory.

e5 is for a black top s13 sr20, it is different as far as the o2 sensor pins from the red top. wire in the damn dash plug already

yes the orange wire doesnt affect it.... but i found the solution....its a faulty ecu as i suspected. changed with my buddys and my other sr and workin fine. and used the originial ecu and doesnt work. and also the new spark plugs were gap wrong...but the original ones that came with the clip and works fine also.
