I have a 96 240 base. I wanted to strengthen the rear end, so I think I'm going to purchase the OBX lower tie bar. Should it just bolt right in eventhough there is no stock bar? And the bushings that hold it in place are pretty shot, so I should buy new ones. But I'm not sure of the name of these bushings and if aftermarket ones would be better? Please Help (prices and name of bushings).

1, I really don't think that lower tie bar does anything.
2, I really think you need a rear swaybar in order to attach it, which is also why I don't think it does anything.
Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

Honda's have a different rear suspension than 240's. The one's made for honda's really do help. The OBX one for 240's is just for looks.

The reason it works on Hondas is that their rear suspension is actually separated at the bottom....ours is fully connected by the rear subframe that holds the diff and connects all the links of the suspension. You're not doing anything but adding more metal.

40 bucks you just wasted. and added obx to your car. junk!
too bad you could have
bought some tranny and diff oil
got gas for 2 weeks (premium maybe too)
bought a shift knob
got your car detailed and waxed
took a girl out for dinner
bought a dime bag. (i do not do, nor approve of this one..for the record)
could have gotten a cheap prostitute too (see comments from previous one)
too bad so sad.

Gauges are about as useless as an obx lower tie bar.. Unless u have forced induction ofcourse :o

no they arent. its good to have a oil pressure and temp gauge, even on a NA engine. doesnt hurt. other ones can be added too...
now a boost gauge on an NA..that's another story
btw, toso has more gauges then most..z32TT haha..

he's being sarcastic
saying you could have bought something useful rather then blowing 40 bucks on a POS piece of OBX trash.
