Ill keep it simple, whats gona cost less? SR or KA-T

I've been seeing swaps go for 5-6 Thousand for the SR20

The KA turbo kits go for like 4 Gs, plus internals, and install.

Wouldn't the SR be cheaper?

Please dont kill me guys

ok i be nice and tell you why no one is posting. There has been a lot of discussion overthis topic and I mean a lot if you can't find it in search you are doing something totally wrong. Try search again. basically this topic is still being discussed up to this point, but basically the costs are pretty similar cept sr has a lot more aftermarket support in the end and ka doesn't allowing sr for more potential power while ka has a limit i guess.

The KA-T can be cheaper if you make your own kit and/or buy some of the parts used.

But I can't really say it's going to be cheaper in the long run...both of them are the same (IMO).

its really a tough choice... i've been going back and forth between getting an SR and turboing my KA for almost 2 years now. sometimes i'll see a new car i REALLY like (C5 vette ) and think i was an idiot for wanting to spend $5k on an engine swap when it could go towards a new car when i get out of school. as of right now i'm just happy with my N/A KA until i win the lottery, graduate from college, or get a REALLY good internship
