I've heard the faster you want to go each second costs a hell of a lot more just looking for some good examples.

You want to go slow, buy a cheap razor blade.

You want to go fast, buy a handgun and a hollow point.

Yep, it gets more expensive. :duh:

Yeah, ball bearing is the way to go.

My Raider sleeps for a pretty long time.

Don't cheap out and get a Fireball.

You'll hate yourself once you start doing advanced tricks.

You forgot the variable of luxury. Speed and money will both increase on a linear graph until you add luxury into the equation. In which case, the more luxury you add the more money you spend and speed increases at a much slower rate.

A flux capacitor is the way to go in terms of cost vs. effectiveness.

what you do is steal plutonium to run it from russians, then go back in time and invest in microsoft in google to pay them off.

Semiautomatics jam
Automatics less so
Revolvers need to be fully loaded, and cost the least

This flux capacitor business is very difficult to deal with, seeing as you can possibly alter time and/or go into a different dimension. I can't send you one without knowing you're properly trained.

As far as the OG topic goes, the faster you wnat to go, the more it will cost. Obviously in order to get a faster time, in terms of seconds, you need to upgrade your set-up. In order to upgrade your set-up you need to buy more parts, and buying parts cost. So, yes, the faster you wanna go, the more it will cost.

There are things you can do to slightly increase your time, but not by seconds. Stripping the car of unnecessary weight, adjusting suspension settings(if possible with your set-up), and learning to launch and shift your car better will help you shave time off. Minor modifications to your car that you can do free of cost will help your time, but not by a lot, there is only so much you can do without upgrading.

i think a lot of import cars are "FEEL fast". which means you can enjoy the feeling of racing at legal speed (i.e. civic)

to OP: yes that is true

cheap? not really
fast? not compared to a v8 with the same amount of money invested
reliable? haha...you don't have an s-chasis do you?

Andrew Bohan

i think we need to define what cheap, reliable, and fast mean

to me, cheap is under $10k not including the price of the car.
reliable means 100k miles with only usual maintenance. no blown turbos, no spun bearings, no thrown rods. none of that stuff.
fast means under 10 seconds on drag, or a really good time on a road course, for example under 2 minutes at thunderhill

i don't think you can put together a car that does all three of those.

yes I have 2 s13s one of wich is soposed to be a RELIABLE DD but unfortanatly it craps out on me more than my gt35-r sr20. So I've pretty much gave up on my cars being reliable but mostly b/c I'm a cheap ass.

Ya faster will cost you more money because you pay the same amount to the whore regardless of time. Oh wait your talking about drag racing? Pretty much same rule applies.
