After market seat heights

Hey, I just saw a post about a 6'3" guy having a hard time fitting into an s14.  I was just wondering if I was to put sparco seats in an s13 coupe, could I adjust the height of the seat? Or maybe make custom seat rails?  or maybe move  the mounting position of the seat rails back a couple of inches?

any thoughts or know-how with this question??

buy japanese seat rails. put out money. custom will still seat you high (yes, even wedge engineering rails)
japanese rails like:

BRIDE
BLITZ
NISMO

..etc

He probably took it as those 3 companies would give you stock ride height. &nbsp;That's how it came out to me too.

those will bring you to STOCK HEIGHT (and maybe a TAD lower)

USDM and many companies after market rails (tenzo, sparco, corbeau) bring it higher due to its design &nbsp;(specific rail, universal slider bolted on top) which brings the seat UP.

JIC (another one), Bride, Blitz, Nismo will keep stock height or possible be a TAD lower or higher, but nothing as dramatic as SParco/etc would.

rails. rails are what make you seat sit high or low! not the seat, the rails

buy low rails, have a low sitting seat.
buy sparco, tenzo, etc rails and have your seat sit high
put your seat on bride, blitz, jic, nismo rails and have that VERY SAME seat sit low

its the rails rails

do you need pictures to understand too? its as plain as the nose on your face. RAILS make the seat height NOT the seat!

BTW... I know what rails are and I read in option that there are rails that do lower the seat more than stock...I just don't remember which issuse it was...I was wondering if you guys knew which one I was talking about...

I'm 6' 3.5" I need my seat to be as low a possible. where can I get these? &nbsp;And I guess I can just bolt them onto any old seat as well.

we arent mean, you just arent reading it well. i told you EXACTLY how you get your seat lower--by rails, but you keep thinging SEAT SEAT SEAT. its not the seat, its the RAILS that matter!!

this is my suggestion to you, only because i've seen it personally, it might cost more but you'll enjoy it

if you are that tall go w/ a Bride SIDE MOUNT rail, and a Sparco Evo or Rev bucket seat. i've seen the bride rail with the Rev and it was VERY nice and LOW.

for your height definately go side mount.i dont know much about the sparco side mount rails/sliders but i would definately suggest side mount. dorifto know's what's up, he's tall too. i'm a "shorty" (5'10).

i used to have a sparco sprint and hated it. get a REAL bucket seat that is meaning=side mount.
bottom mount, put out money for good high quality Japanese seat rails (i did, and now own a pair and will NEVER SELL THEM heh..)

edit: i've done my homework and not talking out of my ass. i know what you need and how to make it, it basically requires money. might be a lot, but the priceless ness of NOT hitting your head or way up with well worth it. put out for good rails and you'll never need to change them (or be willing to sell them). i have tried many seats and researched a lot on rails and seats, and still am. trying to find out if JIC seats fit bride rails. if they do, then that means JIC rails fit bride seat and if bride rails fit MOMO and SParco then that means you can buy a JIC rail and use your MOMO/SPARCO seat and sit LOW. so please be patient, more to come in the next few months!! im doing this for all ya'lls benefit, not mine. i know what seats im getting, just trying to help everyone out.
