I have driven alot of cars and I know that SUVs and trucks are gonna blind you in your mirrors, but doesn't it seem like the 240sx has the perfect ride height where the SUV behind you will blind you in all 3 mirrors?
damn I hate that.
Maybe I'll purchase that 1,000,000 candle power light for $20. Shines up to a mile away

Yeah that'll happen in just about any car, whether it's my mom's neon, my brother's olds, or my 240, it sucks, like tonight I had an X5 tailgating me for about 5 miles with it's HIDs...jackass i'll probably wake up tomorrow with retinal cancer or some shit..

Something about the hatch makes it even worse, I think. Our visibility out the back is bad enough, then some dude in an Expedition's gotta come up and fill the view with blinding light.

In my old Neon the factory decklid spoiler used to block SUV headlights, it was great!

I HATE HID's with a passion. Even in sedan style cars they will blind the shit out of you.

The worst vehicle ever is the bmw suv with hid's. Gota say "screw you BMW" for that one. It's not like anybody with a bimmer SUV is actually watching the road anyway...why bother with better lighting.

Having your windows tinted help alot i have 5% on the back hatch of my car and it doesn't bother me at all.

Yeah I regret not going with 5% on the back, I have 20 all the way around...its pretty damn light imo. Im sure I would have a lot more hassel with 5% though, considering the legal limit is 35%

5% ! Holy cow, the police man would come and kick my ass for something like that. He'd make me scrape it off right in front of him. Maybe some sort of sun visor like the BMW's got in the back. They fold up and down, aww shit probably just go with the tint.

heh... on my dad's '67 Galaxie we've got a pair of Hella driving lights mounted on the back bumper, angled slightly up... they come on for backing up, but there's a switch under the dash so that when some ass gets back there with his HIDs, you can fight back
i know a guy that has a Sonoma with 5% all around... windshield and everything. he's gotten like 10 tickets for it kinda sucks. i'm gonna get 5 on my back and 35 on the doors...

Seriously, I hate SUV's and trucks for that, and HID's can go to hell. Even with my mirror swiched, HID's get me in the rearview and totally blind me from the sides. And those assholes with the "offroad use only" headlights on their trucks are almost as bad.

hahaha thats funny how you mentioned that

Maybe we're all going to get long term effects from HID's.

Your right about the lighting, but than again I have tinted windows so I'm not blinded whenever some SUV or truck is tailgating me.

I got tinted windows too, but the 180sx spoiler does wonders. It's at the exact height of these HID. It blocks most of the light emitted by cars/SUVs following you.
