okay, so here is the idea.
If you lost someone who was in our community( tuning/racing/drifting/showing/ect)
than post some info about the person, and share a little about the person, to let other members know who might not have known they passed or just so people might remember them and honor there memory.
(and nooo, I am sorry, unless your grandma helped you build your car, or go racing with you. and I don't think that your dog you ran over counts either, this thread is not ment to be a joke)
Ok, so here it is, I had a very good friend named Gareth Harris, he lived in Fresno CA, and has been into drifting and 240s for years and years, back when people were all about neon lights and civics this guy was into s13s.
He was always nice, and very enthusiastic about the things he was into. like shoes/ silvias/and boobs.
He passed away at Fresno Community Hospital on April 17th 2008 at the age of thirty, from valley fever( it's an acuatl infection).
I will miss him, and I think that anyone that knew him would miss him as well.
r.i.p Gareth Harris, he was on this forum, but I didn't know his user account.

Yeah I have come to terms with it, I saw him battle his sickness in the hospital for a month and a half.
But I thought this thread would be a good idea or thoughful, for anyone who is not with us anymore, and has had envolvement with you and your hobby ( car/raceing) or anyone who was a member on here.

wow sorry to hear that man. 30 is way to young. I lost one of my very good friends back in 99 right after I moved to Los Angeles from San Francisco. He got killed on his F2 on Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.

my good friend davis huynh from oakland, ca. if it wasn't for this guy i wouldn't be putting money into my car to make it into what it is today. he is the one that's always smoking the shit out of me in high school on a straight[that didn't happen for long]. he's was always telling, "when are you gonna get your swap?" "when are you gonna drop your car?" "when are you going to do your conversion?" "god damn rob! you be LAGGING!" LOL. he's also fast on a bike/car on the twisties, i remember his stock EK civic on coilovers smoke the shit out of all the turbo cars. we couldn't even catch up. you will be missed bro.
also birdy, was like a sister to me, always taking care of me when i'm drunk. she was from san jose state, and had just gotten her real estate license. she was doing very good, bought her self a benz, a bike, etc. i will miss her very much everytime i roll by my friend's house because her presence won't be there anymore. no more bugging the boys when we're watching tv[fuckin sucks].
they died from a car accident, it was him and birdy in the back of the mustang[she also died that night, rip birdy]. they went clubbing for my friend tommy's bday, tommy was drunk so he couldn't drive so he let tony which was supposedly okay to drive; drive. so tony's driving back on i580 south, while steven[another friend], pulls up next to them persuading him to race, and they did.
BUT before that davis calls me to meet up, i'm in downtown hoping on the freeway to i580, i was at least 5 minutes behind. i said, "yeah we'll kick it for sure!". i was about to exit the 35th exit, what do i see......all my friends car's line up on the side looking for the mustang that flew off the side. what a fucked up night. because of that, most of our friends don't even hang out anymore.
they passed away on november 13, 2005.
here's a picture of davis:

i miss them both dearly, it's been three years, and i am still angry at the fact that i lost 2 great friends through drunk driving+racing. i was never a big fan of racing my own friends ever because i would never put them in danger. i'm done.

the guy who had the ek, I think I heard about that from a friend of mine who lived in san jose. plus I think my friend phil might know them somehow.
he said it flipped over the offramp or some shit, and it took the cops a while to find the bodies. I am sorry for all your loses, but I think it is important to remember all good times, and not to forget.
and the people do not have to be members of this thread. just in the scence.
I don't think there is anything sad remembering good people. I think its funny that your boy was into kicks. my friend Gareth has two closets and two walls full of shoes.
