A Few Questions:
1: Is the SR20DE block the same as a SR20DET Block? Will a SR20DE block be able to accept the Toda Stroker kit?
2: Is there any difference between the heads? s13, s14, s15?
Thanks in advance

I can help you w/ the 2nd question but not the first, when someone says s13, s14, or s15 it refers to the turbo. The s13 has a smaller turbine than the s14 and s15.

Um......s13, s14, s15....they refer to which model year car they came from.....even though the turbos are different on each succeeding model. The heads...the s13 uses a high-port intake design, the s14 and s15 use a low-port system. The s14 and s15 also use VTC. The high-port intake is more desireable due to the fact that the air has a more direct flow path and that helps the velocity. Also the s13 is more sought after cause it DOESN'T have VTC. This can complicate making high horsepower later on. If you want to know more just use the search function on this forum. Also you could go to
http://www.srswap.com/ for more info.
Just a tip be careful asking sr ? on here there are a lot of flamers.

Well lets put it this way in japan it is used to distinguish turbines, thats all we care about over here. Most of us cant afford the newer silvias so we all get early models, and put s15 turbines on them. Alot cheaper than buying a newer one, but I see where you are coming from, I ll remember that for later discussions.

In japan the chassis codes are used to refer to the CAR itself. especially since tucked under a nissan OEM heat shield all turbos look the same. and most people I've seen upgrade turbos over here dont waste time with another factory turbo they grab the biggest thing they can afford. like HKS3037s or at least T3/T4 hybrids.

OK, I'll take on the first question.
NO, the USDM Sr20DE and the JDM SR20DET are different.
The JDM uses Oil squirters and has different oil passages in the head. This is to help cool the cylinders down from the boost. And I think the oil pump are differnt too. Need more oil pressure for the turbo system.
The USDM SR20 could use the Toda stroker kit if you wanted too.

thanks for the answer on the blocks. as for the heads, i know that the s14 and s15 have vtc, but how does that effect making higher horsepower? i currently have a s14 blacktop, will having the vtc make doing head work harder? and should i try to find a s13 head if i want to do headwork?

from what I understand the high port design of the S13 SR is better for flow. the VTC makes up for it but most of the aggressive cams available require youto disable the vtc anyway. I believe TODA or Tomei makes at least one set that can be used with the VTC but not 100% sure. I dunno if the S13 and the S14 sr heads are swapable.

thanks for the answer on the heads. now my goal is around 300-350rwhp, can that be accomplished with cams, fuel, and more boost?
