Yesterday night, i hit a curb pretty hard against my rim and now the steering wheel is unaligned. I checked under my car where the thick metal brace that is attached to the sway bar and the tension rod and saw that the thick metal brace was sort of bent but barely noticeable. What is that thick metal brace called? Can it be replaced easily? Will it cause much problem in the future if i leave that sort of bent metal brace on? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

im not quite sure what u are refering to but last time i slide horizontally into a curb, i did much more damage, i bent my control arm and destoryed my axle, rim and boot. if ur alignment is noticably off, you really need to get that fixed, it may be a little pricey but it's all a big learning process *shrug*

you prolly broke your axle... my friend did the same thing... costing him his left nut.
Broke his axle!? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh2:'> It sounds nothing like he broke his axle to me. The thing that the sway bar connects to is... the name slips my mind for the time being, but if it's bent, you will likely need to get that fixed or more likely, replaced.
Don't expect it to be cheap, though.
