so ever since i've acquired my new s14 i've kept an eye on the apexi fmic pretty much at all times . . . during the winter i've noticed the water temp stayed around 86-91 celsius and maybe a degree or so more during hard pushes

but now that summer heat's coming, i've noticed the temp to go above 100 on a regular drive . . . is this normal???

what's a "normal" temperature range?

100*+ Celcius??!!! thats pretty high 110*C is like boiling!
When I had my stock Radiator and stock thermo I averaged mid 80*'s to mid 90* what radiator are you running and whats the conditions on it? what cooling support do you have?

Definalty invest in a Koyo and Nismo Thermo
Mine doest raise above 67* C now

doesn't go above 67 even in hot hot weather??? i only have Blitz LM Intercooler, stock radiator. . . the condition on it? de...cent? i think :bite:

i have a nismo thermo that i haven't installed yet . .. how do they work anyhow? i thought it just opened up at a certain temp . .. i dont see how that helps if the engine's already past that "open" temperature

yeah I have a full aluminum Koyo with the Nismo thermo. its gotten pretty hot but not swap ass hot yet.

My last drift event i averaged around mid-ish 90's

which radiator is it? S-13 S-14? SR or KA?

Flush the system, hopefully the whole inside of the rad. isnt covered is gunk and rust.

yeah that thermo will make a big difference

well the thermo opens when the Radiator Temp reaches 62*C so cooler water is flowing into the engine lowering the engine temp

if the temp passes this, wouldn't it be neglible???

and i'll def flush out the system, i have to change my fluids soon anyhoo, its about time =)

is your s14 sr20 in an s14 or an s13 car? if it's in an s13 car you need to get an s13 sending unit. if ur car's an s14 then it may be overheating sir.

while you got all your coolant out, it may be a good time for a new thermostat.
