Thinking about buying an rb25det, and got the guy to do a compression test:
1-120
2-123
3-119
4-119
5-121
6-119
Guy said it was done WOT + engine cooled down a little.
They're dead even with each other, but Im worried about how low they are...

what are you talking about thats good, they're pretty even. His compression tester probably is a weird make.
I have had harbor freight testers read 130 straight across the board on good redtop sr20's

well, I just wanted to make sure before spending $$$. I don't have experience with RBs, and the numbers just look kinda low to me, even or not.
He did say it was an "autozone tester".

Ask for pix of inside the head, make sure its clean and no gummed up of any oil.. You usually never see a motor with all bad cylinders, its always like 175, 175, 130, 175. Unless it was a loose rebuild. That motor sounds alright to me as far as compression goes.
