Searched and didn't find anything on how to adjust the rod on the brake booster. Anyone here that can direct me to a "how-to adjust brake booster" page or something?

you really shouldn't need to adjust this. If you do, take the 2 nuts holding the master off. pull the master forward slightly. Have someone in the car press the brakes to expose the piston. Use a (i think it is a 7mm wrench) to adjust it. You will need a pair of pliers to hold the rod that attaches to the piston. Make very small adjustments.

Yeah, if you're having problems with too much pedal length/throw, you need to bleed the brakes. If you're not getting enough pedal movement, you probably have a stuck piston or two in a caliper. The brake booster shouldn't need to be adjusted.
