so i just bought a new shift knob and i cant figure out how the old one comes off. ive tried spinning it off but no luck. ive even hit it with a hammer a few times.

what should i Do?

if its the stock shift knob its just screwed on it takes a good grip but it will come off

wow since when does the factory knob have them gay ass universal screw's on the side? Anyways the oem knob is always hard to get off for the first time. it has some type on double sided tap around it. just put a pair of vice grips on it, if you cant get a grip.

there is no screws!!!! set in the drives seat and turn the knob towards you.

Set screws do not exist in our world, lmao...
As has been said, vice grips if you don't care about it.
Wrap a towel around it and THEN vice grips if you do care about it.

I went at mine with a vicegrip as well. Nissan used some sort of glue/loctite on that fucker. Oh man, Dicktits! That's a new one.

As has been said, vice grips if you don't care about it.
Wrap a towel around it and THEN vice grips if you do care about it.
So I guess I cared about mine and wrapped a old towel around it with a pair of vice and comes off great. Dicktits? haha

Yeah mine was a bitch to get off.
They seriously use loctite.
If its never been taken off before
