Hey guys was browsing the site and doing some research on engine break-in. I have a freshly rebuilt SR with a few mods... So I think im pretty clear on the whole breaking the engine in under varying loads - but my Power FC says differently as far as the first 30mins are concerned... I believe its 10 min. increments so that the ECU learns/sets idle... Can anyone clarify? Suggestions? Thanks

Yeah I mean I am pretty sure the PFC "break-in" has nothing to do with breaking the motor in (due to having rebuilt it).....
The purpose of the PFC "break-in" is just for it to learn the car's idle under normal, AC, and heat.

There is no such thing as a "break in" for a not moving part.
It just learns idle etc, make sure the car is at operating temp , idling with the TPS PLUGGED IN with the PFC then, check your base timing make sure your at 15.

I know there is no BREAK-IN for non moving parts... my question had more to do with the first 20 mins of the camz being broken in.. Can I rev it to break em in before the PFC adjusts itself?

Just do the power fc warm up and idle learn like it suggests in the manual.
Then you can begin the engine break in, which is totally seperate affair involving changing the oil and weights at changing intervals over time...
