i have a 96 ka in my 89 hatch and it runs perfect. I mashed it today and my tach and speedo just fell along with all the dash lights and temp gauge. I tried my windows...nothing i checked all the fuses under driver side kick panel and they were all good.
Anyone know what it could be?

you have damage the main power line that feeds the whole wiring you have. if the fuse are still good thats the only way you can find it. look for any damage wires

Just a thought.................. I had lost "all" interior power in another car of mine and it ended up being a melted harness running into the firewall(interior harness).
Happened after cruising all day at hot august nights in Reno one year.
Hi-po+110degree=meltingfailure.

^^^if thats the case for him melting harness will cause short circuit but as from his statement. he said all his fuse are good. WEIRD

Is it only affecting the gauge cluster? take it out and check it, its only a few screws.

could it be my battery/alternator?

sitting on teh interwebz wont help anything. get out there and start splitting that harness open. just look at what works and what doesnt. then follow the positive wire from the battery to everywhere it goes. if the starter works, than there must be something wrong after that point on the positive cable.
like wangan cruiser said, probly a damaged wire, and since its affecting so many things, it should be pretty simple to find (a main power source)

look at ur 75a fuse..look really close and clean off the clear plastic to get a good look..this fuse controls most of the interior..if not that..check ur battery and alternator for sure..

could be a number of things. you're just going to have to check everything. same thing happened to my buddys s13 coupe. turned out he blew his 75 amp alternator fuse under the hood. good luck.

if your car's lowered you might wanna start by looking at the harness that runs above the driver's side tire at the top of the fender. tires rub those a lot
gl man hope u find it
