View Full Version : turbo to manifold (4) nuts thread size/pitch

just as the title says. If you are SURE, then could you please inform me to what the size and thread pitch the (4) nuts that hold the turbo to the manifold. these are the ones usually held by locking plates on a factory turbo setup. I need to order some interference locking nuts but I don't have the car with me.

M8-1.5? is my guess

i do know that you can get grade 8 bolts that work at ace hardware.

and nuts

I'm not so much worried about the grade. That area is not a high stress area where the strength of grade 8 is necessary. I have tried grade 8 lock washers in the past and the heat flattens them out in no time. The only way to properly fix the bolts rattling loose, without using those locking plates, is to get interference lock nuts. And to do that I need to know their correct size.

I'm pretty sure they're M8 x 1.25

I used ones from McMaster (PN: 93795A230). They've held up well so far.
