anyway, I have the corbeau A4 and they sit way too high for my comfort. I was wondering if I were to purchase some lower seat rails, would they possibly work? or do seats only work with their designated seat rails?

is it a sidemount or bottom mount seat?
my seat is sidemount, and i have a buddy club super low spec race seat rail, i like it. ive heard great things about bride FG rails too.
if the seat is bottom mount, i think you might be out of luck.

The difference is if the seat has bolts that go in on the bottom, or on the side.
They use different rails/brackets.

its the seat brackets mount to the bottom = bottom mount rails
if they bolt on to the sides = sidemount rails
usually... sidemount rails tend to sit lower than bottom mount rails.. which is better.

Yeah, my Momo is a bottom mount, so any sliders/rails I used would have my helmet hitting the roof. I got some non-adjustable brackets, and they're perfect. I'm actually planning on making a couple copies, eventually...

anythings possible..ive got some older bottom mount sparco style seats that i'm working on puttin in my convertible (wanna talk about a bitch) and i think its gonna work out just fine...but i dont have a top to worry about :D If your real big on DIY jazz, get the side mount rails and fab a bracket out of 1/4" steel and make it work....anythings possible

1/4" is overkill, 1/8" x 1" flat stock is what I've got on mine, and what I'll make copies out of. Good luck bending 1/4" flat stock.
To the OP, making brackets is what will get your seat to sit low enough. Do it.

not necessarily, you could always go with having someone fabricate your own mount.
