View Full Version : New drifting was wondering....?
SO I have wondered would it be okay If I used spacers with the front s.e. wheel's tell I got more seat time and suspension mods. And then upgrade my wheels? I have been looking around and I was thinking to finish up my suspension and just get some track time with steelies and s.e. I need the spacer so I can have a better offset in the front because of my tein tie-rods and the spacer I am running with them for angle. Originally I thought to buy used wheels to help with the offset I need but I want to save for some meister wheels and move up size. Can't decide what to do, but still finishin up suspensions. The only problem is will be finishing soon ahhhhh can't buy used wheels need meisters......help me out :Ownedd:

how do tein tie rods = need spacers? you can run teardrops with teins no problem.

You want spacers for wider front track? Look into to upgrading your tires, the difference will be noticeable.
got spacers for more angle and when I exceed the angle the tires rub on the caster rods.......

At least he didn't say sportmax.
So he's on the right path.
yesssssss Meister I fell In love and can't buy any other wheel ahhh uhh :wackit:
When I countersteer the front tires rub on some suspension arms pretty sure the stock caster because it leaves marks. so I was thinking to get better offset to stop this. In mid drift it rubs and i spinn out.....

you're real psyc'ed for 4fast 4furious aren't you?
you could put spacers up front, but it won't fix your lack of driving skill. you're spinning out because you're overdriving the car. it's unlikely that the few extra degrees of steering angle you'll get will save you. and the new wheels will probably have the same problem. stick your head under the car and see what's rubbing and how much. you could be hitting the stops on the rack with the tires just barely rubbing. in that case, spacers will do nothing for you.
so then what are your suggestion I am running 195/55/15 all around with a ka24e. thinking to upgrade to a 16in wheel with like a 205/50 for drift and daily...? :loco:
no not true I now the difference when i over run it I spin out of it, this is different I hit a drift right then mid drift exceed the angle and hear like fat ass rubbing nosie, then pulled my tire of and noticed a zippo lighter mark of rubbed off paint on the caster rod. that their my friend is telling me that I am rubbing sir....

-You need to practice. Skill is your problem, not parts.
-Take an English class.

you just cant spell, the language barrier is understandable though. Stop modding the car, meisters wont make you drive any better. tires/LSD/big pair of nuts is all you need. learn to drive the car.......when you outdrive what you have then you start upgrading
ahh thanks.. SO know the question in turn is to weld (DarkSide) or save for a clutch type (lsd)....?:bigok:

BRO
True True so, Let me check the list bro's
BIg Nuts= Check double Check
Tires= Check Check

you're hitting that lip thing behind your wheel when you go full lock. That is what your "Fatass rubbing noise" is. Just bang it flat against your frame with a hammer. Should be fine after that. I know what you're talking about. I used to hear that too then i flattened the lip.
Dont know what i'm talking about?
Take off your front wheel
Look on you frame just above your front sway bars(i think) and you should see a horizontal lip or what not.
Grab a hammer and try to flatten it
Then spray exposed metal with paint or primer
I'm pretty sure you are not rubbing the tension rod(castor rod). I say that because i run bigger tires than you(195/65 or 205/65/15) and i dont rub against the tension rods
