Well my KA24E just blowed a piston ring last week..

i have found a KA24E with 41000KM for 975$ (Can$ with a warranty .
Im keeping the old SOHC for learning purpose and rebuilding later in the process..

Anyone can tell me if im gonna need specials tools to get the engine apart?

Just use the FSM's procedures for removing the head, front cover, pistons, etc, and you'll soon learn enough about your engine. you'll jsut need an assortment of wrenches, a gear puller, a good soft mallet, and other common tools.

::trying to remember my tear-down::
I think I had to use a ratchet and extension to get to the head bolts. The bolts also have a weird head (Allen?)...luckily my Dad has every tool known to man.
When you remove the cam gears, you'll need a big cheater bar and at least two people. Those things are on there tight.
The FSM should be a big help. I only have the Chiltons and it was adequate in helping tear it down.
