Hehe hey Silvia people. As you know STi people are not really in to really wide wheels and such but we are trying to get them wider. So our information are limited. I want to see if it would help if I posts it here for some advice.

The rims that I got is 18x10 Advan RS. Here is a picture that I want my tires to look like. Little stretched but the thing is his rim is 18x9 and running rt-615 235/40/18. Should I be going for rt-615 245 or 255 to archive that?

Some spec that I found.

235 section width 9.6 thread width 8.7
245 sw 9.8 tw 9.1
255 sw 10.3 tw 9.4

Any pictures on any 18x10 or different size of tires will help alot too cause I'm not totally set to get rt-615. Thanks guys I got a few more questions but I will let you guys chime in first.

Go with the 245's.
You might need a roll to fit ten's with those tires.

You can even stick with the 235's, It wouldn't be the bad and would give you more clearance.

But YEAH 245's.

I don't know if I would run a 235 but I think this is more of a personal taste issue, you might want to try some sti boards or something, or maybe you can find a local person to let you try on their wheels or at least sell you some cheap tires to test fit

and a slightly dumb question, can sti's even get 10 inch's in the front? seems like it would bind without some serious camber (don't know much about sti's though)

theres alot of rubbing in the front even with camber i thought i was over doing it with 9.5's but 10 hey whats a half inch??? 245 should be fine as long as its not dumped to the ground...

lol a sti owner here haha. I'm ready for fender roll, pull and lots of camber so that you dont have to worry about. I just want to find the right size of tires that I can archive the same look as the picture on top. So I need some one that knows about rt-615 cause they are alot wider than other tires..

I got an other option which I think I like this one also. It is 265/35/18 RE01-R but those are hella expensive the car below is on 18x10. If some one know what other tires have the same section and thread width but cheaper please do let me know also.

Here is the spec on the re01-r

section width 10.7 thread width 9.6

No offense but please I'm just trying to find the right size of tires for the look I want. Dont have to worry about any rubbing, fender work and such. I been searching alot and my wheels are coming in so I need to get the right tires. If I fail to do so I will have to spend the 1k on the RE01-r cause thats what i like and I really dont want to spend the 1k. Where is all the tires whore!? :D

A 255 would look about the same from a sidewall standpoint, just depends if you can fit it.

1 inch = 25.4 mm for reference, so going up 1" on the wheel width means you want about 20 mm more tire width to make it look comparable. 235s on a 10" wide wheel look goofy.

Chat General Discussion About The Nissan 240SX and Nissan Z Cars

Why would a thread about an STi belong in here?

What's that?

Oh, you're right, it doesn't belong here.

Moved to Tech.

Have a nice day.

after you're done you better be posting that bitch in the aggressive fitment thread on NASIOC... AND technically barry the tech section is for S and Z chassis so really it should be in offtopic probably....

What offset are your wheels? Depending on the offset the issue with Subies have always been the rear. The front has plenty of room to run wide wheels.

not really hard on STi to run wide wheels if you have the guts to run camber... you can run camber plates front and rear on them. the only issue is suspension interference, and if you're running coilovers you should be golden. however, take into account when the suspension compresses on subies, it doesn't camber in like it does on our S chassis... I know... I DD a dumped legacy with aggressive fitment.

Do you really want to take that approach with me?

I mean, I could've locked your shit up for posting in the wrong place. Instead I was nice enough to move it, with a re-direct in it's original place to make it easy to find.

Do you really want to give me attitude because you failed to post in the right spot?

wow, you come to a forum that is specific to a different chasis....and then piss off a mod. You're a freaking genius.

I should go to Nasioc and ask stupid questions that I could have found the answer to here...

WTF?

You ask a question that isn't related to an Z or S chassis.

Then you tell the mod FU.

Wow what's wrong with you?

Seriously OP have some respect.

Third you came on a non suby forum talking shit saying fuck you to the mod!! why?? you are a prime example of why they made a thread about stupid ass suby drivers!! its cause of dickheads like you we all get A bad name..as a nasioc member also go back over there and check to see what other people are running in the Wheels & Tires section..:mrmeph:
