- Bonneville noone cares anymore
- Sponsors don't care how you want more people interested, they want a market.
-35R SR20 sounds like not gonna break many records.
- No Mention of Current Sponsors. Is Touge Labs one? Why the fuck should I care. No one wants to be the first to sponsor someone. WTF does the touge have to do with bonneville.
- Re Write everything. super 5th grader tune works for zilvia posts, not trying to get people to give you money.
- Page isn't big enough.
Bio page (kinda got that one)
Gallery
Calender
Links (Support current sponsors)
-Hurr Hurr Techno Jap font in the dumpster
-Braking vs Breaking, I'd pitch that out just for that.
-White Car, No pictures of car, bland.
Thats not a proposal thats a bio. I'd throw that in the dumpster if It were sent to me.

Does anyone even sponsor anymore. The industry is hurting so bad right now that last thing they want is give stuff away. At my work, we need a letter proving that you are going to have an artical written on your car before we give stuff. At the end of the day, it's about who your friends with too.

Looks too fancy to please an old man with money... Only thing about things like this is I think most companys prefer paper proposals, gives them something to touch and hold, plus it is easy to pass around the office for others to view.
I guess it just depends on your target company. In the end it comes down to what you can offer...

call me an asshole all you want.
Sponsorship is a business and if someone showed that shit to me with "please give me money" attached to it. I'd Laugh, and then link it to all my sponsor friends with "lol imho" attached to it.
You're basically cold calling people, they don't know you, they don't think "oh that joe dungle, hes a cool bro"
ps, edited for more shit I found.

It's cool and all, but it looks like something I'd make in comp class...
Go simple, people with money looking to sponsor don't care about your html skills or presentation of a parts list. I would imagine they just want the cold hard facts.

If you call a company up and they are some what interested they will ask you for all the info. that is listed on my proposal.
So they can make sure of a few diff things, first of all no conflicting companies.
Like i said guys not done yet. will look much better when i finish

dude, if thats the best you can do you don't need to help people with sponsorships.
I know from experience. I've told people to avoid better proposals than yours just for the "why does it matter" you haven't sold anything, I still don't care about what your doing and people with money will be more critical than I will.
As much as it hurts your feelings and you want to cry about it, Me and Kidynomite have posted the only decent help you've gotten in this thread.
I agree about mods list in the dumpster, it makes me care less because the only part that shows any thought into going to bonneville is the underpan, the rest just points to you want money for your street car.
McRussellPants
04-14-2008, 06:43 PM
quick, to the point, give a calender to when people will see your car. Make the person reading it think that a sticker on your car will make people check out their product (yeah, I saw the line 'hurr hurr I'll sell your product" thats not good enough, nor what Im talking about)

Grammar+word usage > you. I'm not trying to be an ass, but you should proofread your writing or take an English class. It doesn't have to be perfect but you've made some big errors.
After reading your "about me" section, I couldn't tell what you were writing about. The title of this thread is "online sponsorship proposal" but you hardly mention it on the entire web page. There is literally only one sentence that even mentions the fact, albeit vaguely, that you're looking for sponsors.
Edit: my criticism is harsh, but fair. I hope you don't think I'm an asshole for this :D

Going to college > Sponsorship.
Just think about it.
Sponsors are more about established friendships and business relationships than blind funding, unless you are maybe the top 16 in whatever you do.
And don't post asking for a critique on something, then tell everyone it wasn't finished when you posted it. Post AFTER you are finished.

To give you a general idea, the Tomei sponsorship forms are something around 13 pages of documentation that you have to not only explain who you are, what you do, etc, but also how is this going to benefit their company? And unfortunately "Spreading around your name and making you look good" is not a good enough reason. Most companies already have a good enough source of marketing, not to mention they probably would rather print an article in Super Street, Turbo mag, etc rather than give you thousands in parts.
Not trying to knock you for trying this, but effectively, you're putting your resume online and hoping someone will call and offer you a job. Like McRussel said, you need to give these people something in their hands and say "here ya go, this is why you're an idiot for not sponsoring me" kind of feeling. When you're sponsor searching, think of it a lot like job hunting, except even harder.
It's hard for me to think that someone who is competitive in a professional series will have trouble getting sponsorships this way and you won't
that's all i'm saying

And yes the garrett and Tial sponsor paper work was like 30 pages long. I dont expect that a company is going to stumble onto this but it is something extra to stand out and so far the companies that i deal with are loving the idea. I hope you guys check it out in a few days and give me more input this is something new and i have not seen anyone else with this so far. I think its a great idea for some of you guys... I guess ill be the test subject and we can really see if its worth it.

Not bad.. if your going to be involved in this hobby, might as well shoot for something.
Long as your knowledgable and present yourself well, you should be ok. Hard to get full sponerships, but you more then easily can get partial sponerships. You gotta let people know that you can deliver and that this car woul dbe a better canidate over the next guy.
Trying to go super big though, then your car practically becomes not yours anymore....
Get involved in motorsports, sounds more appealing on a resume to potential sponsors instead of some guy who just wants free parts.

I think a big part of the problem here is the factor that "nobody cares," such as was previously stated. I thought about trying to get my widebody 240sx rb26 car sponsored, but guess what, nobody cared.
Sure, almost everybody in the car scene within 100 miles of my home town knows me and my car, but so what? In all honesty, I can't see how I could really benefit a company who sponsored me. Does anyone really give a shit who sponsors cars? I know I wouldn't buy parts just because some guy had a sticker on his car.
Keep chasing the dream of sponsorship, maybe you'll find it. I doubt I will, especially because I stopped looking. If anything, I'll see about approaching local businesses that want a tax right off and are interested in racing. For example, the chiropractor my family goes to is always interested in how I was doing at the track and whatnot. There's a better chance I could get money / free services from him than some random company that doesn't know me. Hell, I might even be able to get some local restaurants or something. Key point, think outside the box.
Just my .02 :)

Vertex Lang full kit your car has not young padawan.
Look to the force to guide you to a proper stance.
Also, if your goal is motorsports, how about some motorsports stats?? The proposal looks like a carshow project to me; show queens don't go 200 mph, they do 45 mph on the freeway w/blue tape all over the car.
Good luck, good first effort.

All the BS aside, your page seems to have an issue loading in IE7 on my computer. When I open the page the actual content is way over to the right so I have to scroll through some blank space on the left to see everything. I'll post a picture so you can see what I mean. My resolution is 1280x1024 if that has anything to do with it (I'm not good with this whole internet thing).
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v140/coreyrancid/untitled.jpg
Also just a suggestion but if you want to stick with the japanese I'd use a font that's more readable although understandably most people can't read it anyway.

I figured out that with the time I spent trying to get sponsors, dealing with their shit, going to dumb shows, ect, I could have just worked and bought the parts myself. Maybe I'll give another go when my car is no longer in the project stage.

My back ground in promotions and marketing rangebackground is one word.
After to speeking to a few gentlemen that run bonneville i was hookedShould be: speaking, Bonneville, I
in my generation into bonneville.Again, capitalize Bonneville
my idea through out the industry and received much interest through out.You can toss the second through out. It's redundant and doesn't add to what your saying.
There's some other stuff that needs work too but those are the biggest ones that stuck out. Also, some food for thought, its great that you have sponsors already but how do you represent them without having to actually tell people what is on the car? Maybe some actual visual representation on the car for your current sponsors would show that you are actually dedicated to those helping you out and those that are considering helping you out.
