why dont i see any 240s with s15 sr in them? whats the difference in them? i kno s15 trannys are weak but whats wrong with using a s14 tranny on them?

lol sorry....... most people think that the s15 tranny is weaker than the 14 because the housing is the same size and the 15 tranny has an extra gear. how much power can a 15 tranny handle? not sure... i'm not even sure how much a 14ka or 14sr tranny can hold

Its basic economics really, S15=more money and fewer produced while S14=cheaper and far more available to be sourced :mepoke:

I beleive the dumpipe is suppose to be better. Along with the turbo itself and like everyone else said... the 6th gear.

Same engine, minus I hear the S15 internals are better... Prolly the same damn internals too.

To the OP - You're not going to make enough power to break a 15 tranny or exceed the abilities of the stock internals so get whatever your paycheck allows.

350 ft/bs of torque is usually all you need to start snapping gears on SR missions.
